I want to send mine in, but it's still getting slower (-33 seconds a day now), so I think I'll wait and see if it levels out first. Otherwise I'm concerned they will simply regulate it without fixing the underlying issue, and the watch will continue to slow down when I get it back.

I haven't been able to find anything on the interwebs about what might cause a watch to continue to slow down. Demagnetizing did nothing for me either.

Other than the fact that it's about as accurate as the cheap wind-up alarm clock I had as a kid, I really like the watch!

Wear mine about once a week, rest of the time it sits in a winder. By far the worst watch I've had for accuracy. I will complain to CW as it's only a couple of months old but as they took weeks to reply to my first complaint about them sending the wrong watch I'm not holding my breath.

I am no expert in these matters, but I would imagine in the construction of modern watches there is a ISO standard incorporated in the watch design to withstand varying degrees of high magnetic fields. This would certainly be the case in diver’s watches. If this putatively is happening in a batch of CW watches from a few months ago, there begs the question for further investigation. The C60 Trident GMT is a watch I would assume has a higher ISO standard. There again the problem may lie with a faulty batch of SW330 movements 🤔. The number of reported issues with this watch around a certain time frame is not a coincidence 😱😳.

Update. Sent it back to CW again, they covered the shipping. I got an email acknowledging receipt, an invoice statement for regulation (zeroed out, no charge to me), and a follow up email telling me it’ll take 8-10 weeks to get done and back to me. At that point, they’ll have had it longer than I have. At this point, if it comes back keeping perfect time, I’ll see how I feel about it then. If the time keeping is still crap, I’ll just write it off as a big mistake on my part. Nice casework and a nifty bracelet do not make a watch. CW still has not stepped up, as far as I can see, and accepted they’ve sold a bunch of GMTs with bum movements.

Same boat, same thoughts. There is clearly something wrong with these movements and generally defects are refunded, not just temporarily repaired and sent back. The fact that my watch started keeping good time and inevitably became so slow doesn't give me too much hope that "zeroing out" is a permanent fix. Good luck with this and let us know how it goes if you can remember haha.

From another place, today:

“Figure I'd use this to document my CS experience with a warranty claim.

DHL came and picked the watch up finally last Friday (10/9). I received confirmation that it had arrived at CW 4 days later (10/13). I received confirmation today (10/15) that the watch had been inspected and would be repaired under warranty. Current repair times are 8-10 weeks.”

Update to the update. I got it back two weeks ago, ahead of the projected turnaround. Good on CW for that. It’s now running around -6 spd, so we’ll within tolerance. Unfortunately for me, I guess, my tastes and needs have shifted some, so I’ll probably be listing it for sale. Not her due to post count limit, but probably WUS and DWC. Somehow, I guess I fell out of like with it, and just need a big, goofy Seiko as my retirement watch.

Anyway, slow, frustrating, and shouldn’t have happened in the first place, but CW made it right.

My C60 GMT was slow. Went back three years ago for misaligned gmt hand and because it was slow I asked that it be regulated. The paperwork came back that the movement was dirty (one year old at the time and never opened) so it was cleaned and regulated. It is still slow. It will be out of 60/60 in a few months and maybe I'll get it regulated then locally.

I bought my C65 GMT during last CW's September sale. It was running very accurately for the first week but gradually starting losing accuracy to about 34 seconds per day with a beat error of about 0.9 ms. CW customer service were very good and responsive and agreed to take the watch back for regulation. I got the watch back within 3 weeks. The watch regulation took care of the beat error but it is still losing about 15 seconds per day. I normally do not do this and due to the fact that I'm in the US, I finally decided to forgo the warranty and inspect the watch but to my surprise I discovered that the regulation screw is already maxed up to the + maximum. There is no more room for adjustment. I'm not sure if anyone else has observed this.
I'm a big fan of CW watches but I've been reading issues about quality control from other CW owners and this experience has created concerns on purchasing more watches from CW. Thanks

I think that's the eccentric screw (red arrow https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/who- ... st-8122662 ). You also have a coarse regulation screw (green arrow) that may give you more room for adjustment?

That photo is of a 2824-2, but if you look at my third photo in https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/chri ... t-52141805 you can (barely) see my 2893-2 also has a coarse screw (the middle screw, just under the rotor overhang).

This one might be a job for a local watchmaker.
CW got it down to within spec using the eccentric screw and they feel that's job done as far as they're concerned. But obviously you (I join you in this) want to get the rate up further - so the coarse regulation has to be looked at.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas given the uncertainties we all face these days!

My C60 GMT (latest generation bought in March 2020) came back after it was sent for regulation as it was running slow. For the first week of use it seemed to be great and was +5 seconds a day. However it is now week 3 of wearing it and it has gone back to being 50 seconds a day slow (similar to how it was before I returned it for a regulation).
I do not think it is magnetized.

Does anyone know if this means there is an issue with the movement? Would asking for a new movement be worthwhile in this scenario?

50 spd is outside specification. Make another warranty claim, asking for something beyond regulation? Whether they give you a new movement or a new watch is up to them.

You may not think it is magnetised but have you checked?

It only takes a couple of minutes; a worthwhile investment of your time and may save you a bundle of hassle in contacting CW.

This does sound strange. Something to keep in mind, what do you spend your day around....work areas, home areas, etc. I ask because it's sometimes these things that might magnetize a watch without you knowing it.

I've been a musician my whole life (not professional!) I'm very careful around my bass guitars and amplifiers. These create MASSIVE magnetic fields. Large speakers create this same field if you are in close proximity of them for extended amounts of time.

What is your winder sitting g next to etc. Some watches are very good with their anti-magnetism....CW I'm not sure about. It is something to consider.

What might not effect an I'm house Omega Seamaster 300m, may very well fully magnetize a sellita movement that has nothing to protect it.

This is me spitballing.
