Re: Trident 600m what size?
My wrists are a similar size to the OP and 42mm feels OK to me. I have a 40mm Tissot which is OK too, but for me 38mm would be too small.
Re: Trident 600m what size?
Which one did you get? I have a 6.75 inch wrist/ 17.145cm and the 51mm lug to lug on the 42mm c60 trident is going to be to much. Hoping the 38mm c60 wears bigger closer to 39-40mm does any one find that the case?
Re: Trident 600m what size?
6.75" wrist here also and I wear the 42 (43) COSC, the lugs curve down nicely.

We're all diffferent, what suits one won't suit another. Try them both.

Re: Trident 600m what size?
I'm starting to not care for the 38mm Trident GMT. I kind of feel the dial is not big enough for all 4 hands, like it's too much for the small dial to handle and it's a little full. I'm always much more impressed when I look at the 43mm as it just appears more natural, like it all has room to breathe. The 38mm Trident PRO still looks great to me though with it's 3 hands and perfect date window at the 4 marker.
This man thinks it wears bigger and compared them both side by side:

I've read about 3 people say they think it wears more like a 39mm though the general opinion is it wears true to size. Kip himself told me he thought it was closer to 38 inches.jpsnema wrote:Hoping the 38mm c60 wears bigger closer to 39-40mm does any one find that the case?

For a 6.9 inch wrist I'd go with the 38.
In my opinion if you're unsure, it's usually better to go smaller than larger.

Re: Trident 600m what size?
I just received my 38mm C60 GMT. It looks VERY TINY on my 7.125 wrist especially as compared to the C700 Grand Rapide that I normally wear. I "think" I could adjust to it. I previously had a 42mm C60 FLE that I have LOVED but even in the shallower profile of that original, the watch was simply too "tall" to fit comfortably under a dress shirt (it's one of the reasons I went to the GR which, although being the same 42mm, has no problem fitting under dress shirts. It looks like the 38mm will fit nicely under a dress shirt but it will take some getting use to the proportionately smaller dial.

There is a slight clue in the nomenclature when it comes to shirt cuffs. If you people will insist on wearing a swimming watch to a bun fight, what do you expect?

Good job I've hardly ever worn shirts with cuffs for at least the last decade! It's not an argument I need to wade into

Must be because of the bezel.
C60 FLE = 13mm height
C700 = 13.9mm
C60 GMT MKII = 13.3mm

Re: Trident 600m what size?
I just re-measured and my wrist is actually 7.25" and it is VERY "flat" rather than "round" so most watches have a pretty vast "landing" area on my wrist and I can generally wear some larger watches without it looking weird. My old C60FLE (#006) did keep getting caught on the bezel. Odd as that was the FIRST thing I typed in my original posts but it appears that in my "editing" to clean it up prior to officially posting it, I also removed that one (critical) detail. Sorry about that. I think the 38mm should work find under a shirt sleeve but it only seems (to me) to take up about 70% of my wrist space so the look (to me) is going to take some getting use to.Kip wrote:Must be because of the bezel.ndabunka wrote:I just received my 38mm C60 GMT. PROs: So far I LOVE the look and function of this watch.
CONs: The normal buckle that comes stock on this thing is THE WORST I have ever had on ANY watch. It could be that the leather is new * or it could be the flat tang in the buckle simply refuses to work the way I would like it to so the #1 objective will be to locate some type of deployment clasp to replace it with.
* Note: The simple leather band is fine. I just will need to figure out how to remove the CW buckle from the band itself as there does not appear to be any way to do so short of cutting the metal so perhaps a CW "expert" might just me some guidance on that one.
PS - From reading the threads, I had been lead to think that CW had went to a bezel that could be rotated either way on these watches but this one only rotates clockwise. It doesn't really matter to me but thought I would leave this comment here for others that may have been expecting to have the ability to rotate the bezel either direction. Perhaps that is only on the non-GMT versions or perhaps I read it wrong as a onmi-directional bezel on a TRUE "diving" watch would actual negate it's TRUE function...

Use a spring-bar tool inserted between strap and buckle, in much the same way as you would at the watch end.ndabunka wrote: I just will need to figure out how to remove the CW buckle from the band itself as there does not appear to be any way to do so short of cutting the metal so perhaps a CW "expert" might just me some guidance on that one.

Re: Trident 600m what size?
i cannot comment on the mkII Tridents, but imho the original Trident 42mm's wear quite small. They are not a big bulky watch when compared to others I have worn of the same diameter. I think the 42mm is just right for a diver

Thanks. I was hopeful that would be the case. Re: Trident 600m what size?
IMO I would go with the 38mm with your wrist size. The Trident wears big because of the bezel design. The 42mm might be too big for your wrist size.
