Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
Ugh I just got the old blue version of the Dune in the sale, and I pre-ordered the sector dial Azure version too. Now they release these and they're fire. But justfiying three versions of the same watch? Hmmmm....
Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
I like the look of the textured ones.Although no interest in the flat dial GMTs.
If I go for one it will be the Silica. Yesterday I even put one in my basket, but removed it when I saw that the option to pay for next day delivery wasn’t currently available. I will check again at a convenient time next week.
No it’s not because I have to have something immediately, it is about control re when I am expecting something to be delivered. I.e. if no idea of when delivery may occur, I may have to amend existing plans, last minute plans, trips away etc

It makes no sense to me because CW states the "Sand" colored dial is the best seller so why not offer in in stainless steel and bronze case version?

I'll take the Sector Azure off your hands. I posted about it in the original thread. I am looking to pick up an allocation if someone wants to back out. If serious please PM me because can work it out through Customer Service: refund for you and order for me.SkullLeader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 8:52 pm Ugh I just got the old blue version of the Dune in the sale, and I pre-ordered the sector dial Azure version too. The Eve and Silica colors are lovely. Can't wait to see some real world pictures.

Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
Damn slam! It actually did work. Bought the Blue dial version for $847, after taxes.jkbarnes wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 2:24 pm If anyone in the US is on the fence about purchasing, if you buy on the leather strap in GBP, it brings the price down to below the tariff threshold - $783 plus local sales tax versus the advertised USD price of $910 plus local sales tax and import duty! With the local sales taxes in MD, where I am, that amounts to $831 paying in GBP versus $1,058 paying in USD. That’s a nice savings, slightly more than 21%! I’m actually tempted.![]()
Thank you for the heads up!

Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
I was waiting with interest for these new versions. The automatic one is quite well done, but the gmt version is a missed opportunity. The watch is magnificent, but it deserved decent colors. The black gmt was wonderful, but it is not repeatable. So why not produce it in a dark blue. This eve blue is shameful. Even the white sand version does not match well with green, it would match very well with blue instead. In these color configurations I am sure they would sell a lot

I quite like the blue. It’s the faux vintage lume and the blobs that put me off.

I think I'll buy the Bronze version, green dial.
But the strap options don't really match .
Even pictures are with another strap (canvas).

I miss the trident seconds hand counter balance, I understand the logic of wanting keep it with the Trident line. However playing devils advocate the dune is 150m with a screw down crown (which is why I assumed the Dune and Sealander had it). I wish they would have replaced the counter balance with their own dune theme maybe something like a very subtle and classy north arrow similar to something you may find on an old map or old hand drawn architectural or civil drawings since it is a dressy field watch. If they did that I would buy the bronze with the green dial and matching bronze bracelet.

Oh come come now sir: three watches gives three options to the watch buying market: it's just us who count the cost of "enthusiasm" and go buying multiples.SkullLeader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 8:52 pm Ugh I just got the old blue version of the Dune in the sale, and I pre-ordered the sector dial Azure version too. Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
Does anyone know why the bronze versions aren’t available with the full bronze bracelet like the originals?
I think I saw a previous post saying that they aren’t available ‘any more’, does this mean that they were briefly available, then removed?
By chance I was in the showroom the day they were announced and they showed me a new bronze Dune on bronze bracelet as an option.

They were available briefly - I ordered both colours on bracelets. This was about 8:10am on the day of release.BigPapa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 8:28 pm Does anyone know why the bronze versions aren’t available with the full bronze bracelet like the originals?

Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
^^^^ I contacted CW a few days ago and have authoritably been told the C65 Bronze bracelets have, lamentably in my view, been retired, along with the bronze C65 Sandhurst Series II.
Their final stock of bronze bracelets was allocated to the C65 Dune Aeolian.
Sincerely hope you get yours Chris.

Re: C65 Dune Aeolian - Shifting Sands
Oh no! Gutted. I should have asked if I could buy it there and then. That was one of the big attractions for me. I already have a bronze watch on strap but always fancied going full bronze, and not been able to find a good option that fits mine.
