January Sale - 2025
Re: January Sale - 2025
My nearly new Bader bracelet just arrived!
After a couple of weeks on the hybrid strap this looks amazing. I had to adjust as they forgot to do it but as they had offered to do this for free I won’t hold that against them. Quite easy.

Just got my order from 16th,yeah.
But not the best first impression, I got my ice cream mint but no steel bracelet in the box, meh.
I'm waiting for client service after my ticket now.

Re: January Sale - 2025
I ordered I. The first day of the sale and my watch will be arriving today. White GMT sealander on a black and orange strap. My bracelet and 2 straps have arrived earlier and awaiting 2 tide straps.
Getting the watch is the main event obviously, it’s been a bit of a wait, but I’m excited to finally get my hands on my first Christopher Ward today!
I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Re: January Sale - 2025
Update.
Still hadn't heard anything regarding my order from
8th Jan so yesterday i called them at 09.45 was told there was an issue and someone would call me right back.
Still waiting at 3pm today so called again. Was told there was an issue with stock and an error on the orders system.
Stock has now been replenished and my watch will be despatched tomorrow.
We,ll see.

Finally got my shipping notice from my order on Jan 8th this morning. Wondering if it is the same one from the guy who bought from the sale, couldn't sell his in the for sale section and returned it. Will see..

Re: January Sale - 2025
Interestingly, it appears people are getting the new Dune orders from last week rather than winter sale items from a few weeks ago...

Re: January Sale - 2025
It’s partly been asked above already and I ask the below without agenda/criticism and more just from an understanding perspective, never having dealt with stock/logistics myself:
To my untrained mind, it would seem easiest (and ‘fairest’) that you simply dispatch by order date, oldest order first. Is there a reason you wouldn’t do that, excepting any issues with specific orders?

Re: January Sale - 2025
It’s arrived and it is a really nice watch, more refined than I imagined. I like the printed logo, even though this means the watch may be stretching the title of ‘nearly new’. That said the watch is immaculate. The dail is balanced and the indices catch the light nicely. The case is very well finished and sits quite nicely on my wrist. All the straps are great, gutted I did not get a bader bracelet as well, next time.ajax87 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 3:00 pmPics and first impressions when it arrives!Salvo1972 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:16 am I ordered I. I think I could do without the exhibition caseback. Recently I feel that they should be mainly reserved to intricate and beautiful movements.
The lume is very nice when fully charged up.
It is without doubt the main attraction in my burgeoning collection.

Re: January Sale - 2025
There can be many reasons - the main one being that some items have a different process from sale to deliverytimepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 8:41 am It’s partly been asked above already and I ask the below without agenda/criticism and more just from an understanding perspective, never having dealt with stock/logistics myself:

e.g. a watch might be taken off the shelf and go through a quick QA process (e.g. check battery is working in a quartz / check watch for damage / etc.) whereas a strap might just be taken off and posted
Re: January Sale - 2025
Maybe the delivery processes is a bit different during the sale too, perhaps in batches rather than individual orders, as they know what stock will be going out before the sale starts

Re: January Sale - 2025
Understood. Forgetting straps for a minute and just thinking about watch orders though: I could appreciate why, if you had ordered a nearly new piece on January 8th (which has presumably already been through a QA process to determine its Nearly New status), you'd be frustrated that orders for the new Dune released on January 23rd were already being delivered and yours was only just dispatched or even still being prepared for dispatch. Just for the avoidance of doubt, I'm not in that situation, but I can see why the rationale of "sale orders are delayed because the sale is busy" becomes less satisfactory when it moves to "sales orders are delayed because we're busy shipping the new model."akirk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 12:41 pmThere can be many reasons - the main one being that some items have a different process from sale to deliverytimepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 8:41 am It’s partly been asked above already and I ask the below without agenda/criticism and more just from an understanding perspective, never having dealt with stock/logistics myself:

I do suspect by now though there may only be a few residual sale orders not sent, and in those cases probably there are specific issues e.g., with stock as per several posts above.

Re: January Sale - 2025
It might simply be different staff manage different parts of the ordering system - so the sale could be dealt with separately and others deal with non-sales purchases, ensuring that any delay only impacts sales items where hopefully purchasers in feeling that they have a bargain price-wise mind less about delays?
Anyway, I have finally received despatch notification for the watch / second part of the watch and straps I bought in the sale on the 8th of January. Still communication is poor - the despatch note gives no clue as to what is being sent... when you then click on the link it comes up saying order number xxxxxxx has been delivered - it is only when you dig deeper that it shows that part 1 has been delivered and part 2 is being dispatched - and now lists it as one part of 2 which previously was not noted on that order. Not unhappy with the delays - but it would transform the company to get some jioned up thinking an processes

Re: January Sale - 2025
I have ordered neither a sale watch or a non sale watch since the start of the sale.timepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 2:51 pmUnderstood. However I would take a different view…
If I had ordered a new watch, say a newly released Dune at full price, I would not be pleased if sale items were shipped before non sale items.
To be specific I think that non sale items sold at RRP should be given priority.
