yes... with a caveat that they will reach out - which I am not sure is happening...
Looking at that statement - it really doesn't apply very accurately to my order from the 8th ;)

^^^^ Indeed Alistair. :-k :-k

I think also, in reality, it is a bit of a generalistic statement buried within their T & Cs etc.

My feeling is that, those who have mentioned it would prefer to see a banner at the top of the website with a message something like;-

"It's SALE time folks, delivery time are likely to be extended"

Still trying to be patient. 17 days since order and payment taken 3.09 on 8th. Customer service did get in touch 5 days ago to advise that they were having to swap out the bracelet due to no stock. Fingers crossed for despatch email next week. Anyone else still waiting?

I am almost at the 2 week point for my last order but still being patient. It will arrive when it is meant to arrive. Trying to be Zen about it...
nycWATCHnerd wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 7:45 pm This is for informational purposes only. I am being patient and only posting in case it helps others figure out when they will receive their orders. Please know I live not that far from JFK Airport (International Flights and Customs) so USA shipments may (or may not) get to me more quickly.

22mm Hybrid Rubber Strap Black/Orange
1-11-2025 Saturday - Order email
1-14-2025 Tuesday - Dispatch email
1-16-2025 Thursday - DHL delivered
* 2 Business days to process and 2 Business days for shipping (this was processed late in the day so DHL did not pick up until 1-15-2025)

C63 Sealander 39mm Dagger/Silver on strap
1-12-2025 Sunday - Order email
1-16-2025 Thursday - Dispatch email
1-17-2025 Friday - DHL delivered
* 4 Business days to process and 1 business day for shipping

C63 Sealander 39mm Blue on hybrid rubber

These seem like very good turn around times from order to shipping based on their extra order volume during these types of sales.

^^^ I agree on the patience front. These watches will be with me a long time; a few days’ wait won’t dampen my enthusiasm for them and enjoyment of them.

.

This delay has a lot to answer for as I have now ordered a Spinnaker Fleuss GMT with 45% discount. I suppose it could be worse, it could be something expensive.

Interesting find...wish it were 42mm.
More interesting:
C60-38ADA31S0KK1-HK (new, 38mm black dial with red accents, black/black hybrid rubber strap 20-HYB-01-SXK-DC-ST)
N60-38ADA31S0KK1-HKO (NN, 38mm black dial with orange accents, black/orange hybrid rubber strap N20-HYB-01-SXKO-DC-ST)
- Was this an LE, SE, or Bespoke?
I know it is only 38mm but I am still surprised nobody has bought this oddball black and orange Trident pro 300.

Bit naughty, the product page for this appears to have been reverted to black/red. Email to CW I think.

Technically, it is being (re)routed to a different page from what was listed in the sale (URL is current, Notepad is original link). But yes, they made a mistake in the original listing by adding the wrong picture.

CS have now said I can return the watch and have the case back replaced, or keep the one I have.
Of these offers I will return the watch, but I am not sure whether I will keep it at all.

I gave up and cancelled the third order. It was not about lack of patience but rather it was a gift that would have been too late. I thought about waiting and keeping it for myself but I do not need two C63 Sealanders and thought the (more expensive non-sale) Dagger/Silver dial would be more versatile.

The C60 I ordered on the opening day arrived last week. Some minor annoyances, the bracelet hadn't been adjusted and it didn't come with papers. But all is sorted now, the papers arrived a few days later. And I had a local jeweller adjust the bracelet.

Was I amazed at the buying experience? Not really. As my first time buying from Christopher Ward it's not a great first impression.

Have CW responded appropriately? I think so. I was refunded £30 for a strap as compensation, I think it's a very fair response and I don't feel hard done by. As people have pointed out a few times in this thread - it's just a watch.

Edit - Am I happy with it? Yeah, it's a nice watch. I'll be wearing it for years to come. Was using it to mark an occasion (cleared my student loan) and to be fair the mild annoyance is overshadowed by it looking great.
