How long do bracelets last? I have a couple of CWs on bracelets but wonder if they fail over time? Is it worth picking up a spare in the sale d'you think?

I assume there will come a point when a specific bracelet will no longer be available and if it fails and you'll have to move to a leather strap?

Bracelets last many years. They can stretch and deteriorate in general over time. If you hold a watch by the head though, a new bracelet will stick straight out, then as bracelets age the links can stretch and loosen, and the bracelets tend to sag a little. I expect you are talking about decades though. Don't use the crown to wind the watch or adjust the time while the watch is being worn. That can stretch the bracelet, and also put force on the crown.

I have a watch due in today.
Then I just have a watch and separate strap both ordered on 14th. Hopefully they will be sent this week.

Very positive CS experience for me. As mentioned somewhere above, probably about 15 pages back by now, I got cold feet over a bronze model. It was about a week after purchase with the order still being prepared for dispatch. No complaints over the wait itself, but as time ticked along and I saw a couple of NN bronze models posted here and there with maybe more patination than I would like, I started to wonder whether I should just order a brand new one. (Though for balance I have also seen other bronze NN models posted that look brand new, I just didn't want to take the risk with my particular customs/duty situation).

Email to CS to cancel, apologizing for having changed my mind, but that I had decided I would prefer a new one instead. In return I got an apology from CS even though I had no complaints! And something a little extra offered to assist with my new model purchase.

Transaction for the new model now gone through and can't wait to receive it. Very happy with the outcome and responsiveness.

Even though the sale officially ended at midnight on Friday, it is still possible to purchase some of the sale items at a discount. Simply type in “Clearance” using the CW site search tab & it will bring up the list of straps & bracelets that are being cleared from inventory. There are some watches on clearance if you don’t mind paying full price.

chuckf1 wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 11:27 am Holy carp! More watches added to the sale!
JAFO wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 1:27 pm They look like old favourites that keep coming and going
edit. I think they won't move quickly as there is no direct link to the sale page that I can see.
I went back and looked at my orders from the July sale and they were in the first week of August. I get the sense that CW does not want to publicly acknowledge that they will be unloading NN and previous generation stock for a month so they do the "if you know, you know" thing and leave the link active and keep adding to it: www.christopherward.com/sale

Keep in mind if there is something you want I would jump on it rather than wait because it still may disappear quickly.

Why is this still listed? It is going to start driving me crazy because I would actually buy it.

The C8 is only there in dollars :)
if you go to christopherward.com/sale it is not listed but /int/sale it is
select dollars and it is there
select GBP and it is no longer there

I think that might be called a glitch!

We know/assume there have been many glitches with listings during this sale and previous sales. We also know/assume they maintain different US and UK sites that are not always synched so not surprising this is only shown on one of them.

Well no sooner did I post these photos than an absent refresh of the sale page returned a bronze Dune COSC. 🥴 So this Dagger may be moving on as a result!

The answer to any watch "either or" question is always keep both.

I've started the returns process for the green Sealander GMT I bought. Well I think I have as I submitted some details on the returns section of the website and got an email about subscribing 🤷🏻‍♂️

I feel teased, and hurt, and maligned, and abused seeing the C8 Flyer just out of my grasp. It’s absolutely cruel of CW to do this. I didn’t even know I wanted the watch until there was a deal on it. Now I’m obsessed. I may have to see a priest about an exorcism. :D
