January Sale - 2025
Re: January Sale - 2025
My order from the 8th has now moved from “Pre-Order” to Preparing for Despatch so will hopefully be on its way soon. My other order from 9th also preparing for Despatch since I placed the order so maybe will all come together

Depends on whether you're doing it by hand or buffing wheel/dremel. For the latter 2, I'd recommend heat-resistant polymide (Kapton) tape, although others may work.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:47 amThat's what I am thinking of doing. I just need to find some suitable tape to mask off the outer links.StrappedUp wrote:

Re: January Sale - 2025
@LambethCW you shouldn’t worry about your delivery. My delivery situation is a little different from most as I live rurally. We jokingly call it being “centrally isolated” even though we really aren’t that remote. I’m only 4-6 hours’ drive from several major cities (New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Toronto, Ottawa, etc) yet DHL act as if I live in the wilderness. They decline to honor “guaranteed” delivery timeframes to my area. I’m 20 minutes from two major universities where DHL will deliver directly. My shipments are routed through a center 2 hours away and handed off to the postal service. In the last year DHL have decided I’m so rural they charge shippers an extra fee now to hand off to the USPS, absolve themselves of providing specific tracking information, and ignore signature requirements. Ten years ago DHL would deliver to my door. Now I’m barely above persona non grata and only because they get paid. Other CW fans get their watches a good week to ten days before I do even if we order the same day.

Is Syracuse University one of them?
If yes, you will know why I purchased this but I am not yet sure if it is for me, my wife, my brother, or my nephew '25.

Re: January Sale - 2025
I am just glad someone finally bought it because I was going to purchase it so I could find out what the heck it is even though a 38mm would be too small for me. If someone on the forum bought it please post details when it arrives.Mikkei4 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 10:20 amAs asked by me on 14th................ironcurtains wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 1:36 am Hi all. Was hoping someone could help answer a question for me... Currently in the sale section there are two black C60 trident pro 300s. One has a bader bracelet, and one is on the orange and black hybrid rubber. What I am confused about is that the bracelet one has the Automatic text and seconds hand in red, while the one on the rubber has the automatic text and seconds hand in orange... obviously the current new model for sale is in red as well. Did this model use to have orange second hand and automatic text and is an older iteration of the watch?

Just had a daily look at the Sale pages.
I've not noticed it before but spotted a 38mm black dial Trident 300 with orange tip to the second hand and orange AUTOMATIC word. Was that ever an option as red is the usual colour with the black dial as far as I can recall?
As shared by me after doing some digging...nothing in the archives or found by a web search. Just a different part number on the listing page. Even when I replaced the "N" with a "C" at the start of the part number it did not bring up any meaningful results other than the winter sale listing page.
nycWATCHnerd wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 6:48 pm More interesting:
C60-38ADA31S0KK1-HK (new, 38mm black dial with red accents, black/black hybrid rubber strap 20-HYB-01-SXK-DC-ST)
N60-38ADA31S0KK1-HKO (NN, 38mm black dial with orange accents, black/orange hybrid rubber strap N20-HYB-01-SXKO-DC-ST)
- Was this an LE, SE, or Bespoke?
Re: January Sale - 2025
I thought I would drop back in the sale and add a blue/orange hybrid, but none to be had. I casually assumed all the colours were available.

Re: January Sale - 2025
They really know how to confuse you, don't they?
So, for two days, my order (Non-sale placed on the10th) has been showing as dispatched without a shipping method. So, no tracking, no message from DPD and a deep trough in the carpet from my pacing up and down.
Today, out of the blue, DPD deliver my order: Only one slight glitch; I ordered the black leather strap not the brown.
I did want the brown and so I ordered one, in the sale, yesterday.
As I don't want 2 brown leather straps and I do want a black one, I've sent a request to CW to see if they can swap yesterday's order over.
Fingers crossed

Twas I ... curiosity got the better of me. Mainly because when the 300 was released, my initial thoughts were that they would have looked even better with the red/orange accents switched on the black/blue. That view still hasn't changed, so this could be a very good find indeed!nycWATCHnerd wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 2:13 pm I am just glad someone finally bought it because I was going to purchase it so I could find out what the heck it is even though a 38mm would be too small for me. Although I did see a standard black(w/red) 300 on orange hybrid listed and it just looked plain strange. Wonder if someone at CW simply thought it'd look better on the website photoshopped the same colour!

And to top it all off, the consort bracelet I ordered, in the sale on 8th, arrived. Lots of toys for the weekend.

I agree that the black/red was never my favorite TP300 color combo. I hope you really love it when it arrives. Wear the heck out of it. Please post pictures of the front and back.
Did you get the matching NN bracelet?

I already have 2 watches and a strap on the way so this purchase for curiosity's sake would have most probably irritated the wife.

So glad the sale will be over today so I can stop refreshing the sale page, posting in this thread, and get back to my real life.

Re: January Sale - 2025
Is there much difference, if any between the 38mm and 40mm Bader bracelet for the trident pro 300? They're both 20mm wide. Basically would this bracelet fit my 40mm trident?

Probably not because like most watches I believe the ends links will be different sizes to fit the different case sizes.Danwilko90 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:06 pm Is there much difference, if any between the 38mm and 40mm Bader bracelet for the trident pro 300? Re: January Sale - 2025
The different bracelets have different endlinks so they register correctly with the watch case. Generally they are not interchangeable, although there are some successes. The 38mm and 40mm variants for instance will have a slightly different case radius even if the watch case design is otherwise identical.Danwilko90 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:06 pm Is there much difference, if any between the 38mm and 40mm Bader bracelet for the trident pro 300?
