I’ve now resolved the issue with CW in a way that I’m happy with, though I won’t get into the specific details. I wanted to update everyone here, especially since many of you took the time to offer valuable advice about British consumer rights and sales laws. One of the best things to come out of my initial frustrated post was learning so much from your contributions. Thank you to everyone who provided constructive criticism, feedback, and shared your knowledge—it’s truly appreciated.

I also want to share a few reflections from this experience, both the pros and cons:
Pros:
CW Listens to Their Customers: When multiple people sent angrey emails and even threatened to send their watches back, CW acknowledged the situation and worked to address it. The initial resolution they offered was a good one—it just didn’t work for my particular circumstances. However, I’m sure others who received the same offer were thrilled. Ultimately, we were able to find a solution that worked for me, and I appreciate that CW genuinely values customer voices.

Cons:
Rookie Mistakes for an Established Brand: As a company that primarily operates online and has been in the business for two decades, it’s surprising that errors like this still occur.
Recurring Issues During Sales: From what I understand, mistakes seem to happen during every sale. While CW is good at offering solutions when things go wrong, it would be even better if they put more effort into ensuring mistakes didn’t happen in the first place.

That said, I’m satisfied with the resolution and want to thank everyone who stayed objective, offered relevant feedback, and refrained from name-calling, harassment, or judgmental comments.
Thanks for the update. The main thing is you are happy, Wear your new watch in health. I imagine you will be much more disposed to buy more watches from CW in the future. :D

I assume they are sending you the watch and asked you no to disclose how you got it. Did they make you sign an NDA?

Glad it worked out for you and thank you for posting the update.
So many people complain but rarely do they compliment when it is warranted.
That'll be for @HAYQ to know and us to wonder. :-k. :-k

He's said his piece and that's sufficient.

@HAYQ - Glad you got it sorted in a manner you're content with.

Keep it. The different/quirky stuff is what you will still find interesting in 1, 5, 10, 20, etc. years from now. The story about how you got one of the 30 of these things just add to the mystique. View @Bahnstormer_vRS Post about it and the CW Archive Link
I might have made up my mind to keep it already to be honest, after wearing it for a few hours today

They've found a couple more pool blues, so I should be ok for mine (unless they cancelled my order):D

Edit. Still not shipped, and it's end of play for today, Wednesday

I wish the Tide straps for sale were in size and color combinations I could use. I'd really like to try one (or two) out. I hope they're not being discontinued entirely.

Some Pool Blue models have been added and there was a white Sealander GMT that disappeared quickly, but a black GMT is still available.

I think they are going away (mostly) as only a few are left in the non-sale section. Do some research because I have read they can be harsh wearing "plastic" and may not have been well received. There are always exceptions but overall I do not think most people liked them.

Yeah, I read they're really stiff at the beginning but could be worn in over time. I still think they're a neat concept overall, and I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting one to try when they were more available.

The #tide straps have not been part of CW's regular inventory for the last six months or so. They were last available in the July '24 sale at half price.

I guess those been offered now are the remnants of stock.

As to their wearability; they're stout and a much better proposition than a floppy NATO on heftier watches. They take a bit of moulding to the wrist; best done by rolling through your thumb & fingers to bend it.

As to their feel, I find them super smooth on the skin and are best worn slightly loose; a bit like a bangle.

Downside, if there is one; due to the very tight weave of the thread, which makes them stout, if they get wet they hold water and take a while to dry out. On a hot day, I find that works to cool the wrist.

PS> I've got over half a dozen in different colours, bought a 22mm blue/white/steel last week and have just now bought a black/red/titanium for my C60 Elite 1000 Blue/Black (T0BK0). Okay, I've got a black/red already but not with the titanium buckle.

HAHAHA No I can confirm that I will not be getting the dragonfly version, and no NDAs were signed. But I will get something (different than their initial offer) that I`m happy with.

Today I had more time to look at it properly from different angles and in different light and am so pleased with it now the way the light catches the dial and the raised baton markers it’s definitely a keeper now!!…the canvas webbing strap is a little on the tough side but that’ll become more flexible with wear.

I think that looks amazing. A great combination.

When looking at my 3 orders done on 1.8 and on 1.9, I see that in half an hour, the order number has gone by up appr. 600. The third done approx. 24 hours after the second, has an order number nearly 15000 higher. Do you think it is possible that the order numbers are consecutive for every order?

Yes, new is going to be a step above
True, bit once you've worn a watch it's no longer "new". So then you have a nearly new watch that you've paid full price for.
I knew I couldn't be the only one with this outlook...
