Yes, new is going to be a step above
True, bit once you've worn a watch it's no longer "new". So then you have a nearly new watch that you've paid full price for.
Yup, just like my blue C65 diver that I bought new, and within 10 minutes discovered I gouged the anodized bezel. >:( Actually worse because I doubt CW would have sold one in this condition, even designated NN. But at least I know _I_ put that mark there. :D And so it goes …

I must admit, with the almost one week that’s elapsed between order and now, plus seeing some of the pieces being delivered, I’m starting to worry a bit about my NN purchase. I’ve probably just had too long to think about it, but if it has to be returned the likelihood of getting my local customs duties refunded is slim to none, so I’ll be quite out of pocket. I may just cancel my order in the morning and order a new one, but will sleep on it…

Personally I just view the delayed shipping time as a cost of the discount if that makes sense. Would I gladly wait 2 or 3 weeks for, in my case, a brand new C60 Elite with a unique color combination, for a couple hundred dollars cheaper than retail? Absolutely. I'd wait a month tbh.

I think of it this way. Would I rather pay the difference between the discount and retail, and get the item quickly, or keep that money, get the same item, and only wait a few days more. It's an obvious choice for me.

Frankly, as someone in the USA, I've always been impressed with the speed that DHL gets items across the pond.

That seems far too sensible!

I too can be patient because as a famous watch youtuber always says: these are not investments, they are expensive toys.

If my toys (aka watch purchases) do not show up for a few days, or even weeks, so be it. I can't imagine what pressure the operations/logistics and customer service staff are under during a sale so a little patience from all of us will probably go a long way to making their lives less stressful.

1-11-2025 Saturday => 22mm Hybrid Rubber Strap Black/Orange
For my Trident Pro 300 purchased in November that is still in the box

1-12-2025 Sunday => C63 Sealander 39mm Dagger/Silver on strap
New 20% off listing I found and posted about so not sure if this will ship or get cancelled

1-14-2025 Tuesday => C63 Sealander 39mm Blue on hybrid rubber
Purchased for my nephew who will graduate Syracuse University soon - his father aka my brother, my wife, and I all attended so Go Orange (and blue)

I'll update when stuff ships and arrives. CWL to NYC via DHL is usually about 2-3 days (if customs does not place a hold for some unknown reason).

For those of us who might be curious to know, details of the C60 Elite 1000 Blue/Black have now been entered in the CWArchive, with the additional Watch Note of;-

"This variant was created in a quantity of 30 pieces for sale only in the January 2025 Clearance Sale."

SALE - Consort bracelet - ordered on the 8th - being prepared for dispatch
SALE - Hybrid strap - ordered on the 9th - delivered today
NON-Sale - Sealander, Sealander GMT and hybrid strap - Ordered on the 10th - being prepared for dispatch

Am I impatient, yes.
Am I confused, yes.
Am I annoyed, not yet.
I bought a watch in the sale on the 8th. Shows as “Pre-Order”
Sale strap and watch bought on 9th - being prepared for dispatch.

Same emotions as you
LOL Ordered a strap and a watch on the 8th. The strap has already been delivered yesterday. The watch listed as "pre-order". So same boat. Keeping my fingers crossed.

HAYQ wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 1:55 pm I don`t consider it generous or fair compensation. These other colours were on sale too, so if I wanted them I could've ordered those other colours. And a sales agreement is a sales agreement. It`s not like they don`t have the Dragonfly and now they are trying to find a solution. They do have the watch they just refuse to hold their part of the agreement because some owners of Dragonfly have complained. This is not ok.
What about people that maybe have got their Dragonflyes from sale already dispatched? are they gonna ask them to return their watches?

They should apologise to the owners of Dragonfly model, promise not to sell any more online and maybe compensate them with a discount or something. That would've been another, better way of handling this.
This just isn’t true. I get you’re disappointed, but all your solutions are about you wanting the watch. Meanwhile you’re dismissing the feelings of the people who bought it as an exclusive.

The retailer is allowed to change their mind.

Yes, I understand both sides, but the watch was not new, so the other owners bought a new watch, I thing the « nearly new » could be sold online

I received my third order yesterday, placed on Friday, 10th, of a pair of straps one of them being the infamous 22mm blue rubber with Bader buckle that morphed into a 20mm.

Image

Image

It's a nice strap in soft, pliable rubber similar to those which I have for my C12 VULCAN XII on which the Bader buckle feels relatively hefty compared to the weight of a regular buckle. This should go well to balance the weight of the watch once on my wrist.

The blue is pretty dark with a hint of magenta to it.

One problem. Which watch to use it on, as I only have a couple these days with 20mm lugs. Leading contender is my C1 Moonphase.

Not quite going to plan.
Incoming being delivered today but I have to go to a meeting and so the wife will need to take the delivery. I need to break it to her gently and hope that the pair of boots that I bought her last week will lighten the atmosphere a tad.
Here goes, I hopefully will see you on the other side.

If it's of any use, my NN C60 is gleaming to be fair. There's effectively no signs of wear on the case or strap when using the mk1 eyeball.

Just had a look at the sale page. Seems they want to get rid of their Black-orange hybrids
