Well as a new forum member just wondering when my watch will arrive, this was an interesting thread. Ordered this Saturday 11th evening so I imagine I’m in for a wait. I didn’t realise January would be such an issue.

I might write to the chief exec to complain (only joking).

Can I just ask quick question?

Does ‘nearly new’ in the Sale mean a watch that’s brand new but was returned in the 60 days?

Welcome!

You can find your answer here

The short answer is yes and no. No if the returned watch is in new unworn condition within the 60 days it will be returned to stock. If there are blemishes or wear CW will either take components that they can put back as new or offer it as NN. Hope that helps.

SALE - Consort bracelet - ordered on the 8th - being prepared for dispatch
SALE - Hybrid strap - ordered on the 9th - delivered today
NON-Sale - Sealander, Sealander GMT and hybrid strap - Ordered on the 10th - being prepared for dispatch

Am I impatient, yes.
Am I confused, yes.
Am I annoyed, not yet.
I bought a watch in the sale on the 8th. Shows as “Pre-Order”
Sale strap and watch bought on 9th - being prepared for dispatch.

Same emotions as you
Still waiting on mine to be dispatched, ordered on the 8th.

Am I disappointed, I think so. I don't think I'll be rushing back.

Honestly no I don't feel that way. The fact is that the winter sales probably stretch staff resources at CW beyond their normal capacity and I sleep sound in my armchair by telling myself that a few days' wait is no big deal. Pull up a chair, let me pour you a coffee
As tikkathree pointed out to me earlier, it's just a watch.

Thanks. I went for a nearly new Bader strap to match my new C60 Trident.
Glad I decided against getting a nn watch.

I’m old enough to remember when ‘next day delivery’ was a figment of someone’s imagination and items could take days or weeks to be delivered.
One month after getting my watches, this wait will just be a faint memory.

Glass half empty = another day and my watch hasn’t been sent = frustration and disappointment
Glass half full = another day of anticipation will make to delivery sooo much sweeter.

It’s up to each of use which one we want to be……

As one who has gotten a couple of the NN watches, most have been free of blemishes except under macro viewing. And as I buy second hand watches as well, the NN are a great opportunity as I see it. Yes, new is going to be a step above but you may come to find NN still makes the grade. Whatever works best for you.

Then you can assess the consequences and implement suitable control measures so that your students can make an informed decision on which one they want to be……. :D :D :D

True, bit once you've worn a watch it's no longer "new". So then you have a nearly new watch that you've paid full price for.

I ordered mine on the 8th and it arrived today. Not too bad considering there's been a weekend and the ongoing sale.

It won't be that long to wait. A couple of days to despatch and then 1 or 2 day delivery thereafter. My orders came DPD, and we're very efficient.

I've bought NN and never noticed a mark. I've just received NN straps. Except for not having a tag you wouldn't know they weren't knew.

When I've bought a watch, I try it on and wind it to test the accuracy, but I would never adjust a bracelet, say. I tend to just leave it in the coffin and look at it while deciding.

I'm confident that anything I return can be sold as new. :D

If you buy NN and you aren't happy you can return it, so it just wastes CW time and money in despatching and handling returns - so they may as well make sure it won't be returned because of the condition.

I placed my order on the first day of the sale. And received it today. In the U.S. An ocean away from the UK. I'm not sure what my point is. So you can interpret it as you will.
