I’d massively appreciate the link too, by PM.

I’ve been an email subscriber for years and I’ve not received this heads up!

You're in trouble if you need to set an alarm for 3:00pm GMT.

That'll be 10:00am in NYC, won't it?

Okay; it'll be 7:00am in Seattle, so maybe an alarm needed there.

I think I'll be setting two alarms that's going to be 4am for me. Need to be wide awake and ready to go, not a usual state for me at 4am.

If anyone could be kind enough to share the pre-sale link, that would make me a very happy man this morning.

Nothing is ever as straightforward forward as that with CW and the mystery of who is and isn’t on a mailing list! :)

Anyone who received the email is clearly on the CW mailing list.

I received the email and always receive all emails that they send.

I clicked on the link and it indicated something along the lines of thanks for subscribing. That generated a further email that I needed to confirm my request by clicking on.

From the above I think that CW have altered the process for this years sale..

Send email to those on mailing list, asking if they require access to the sales preview.

Those on the mailing list who ignore the email won’t receive the preview link.

In previous years the preview link was sent to all on the mailing list.

Those that say they don’t receive CW marketing emails are clearly not on the mailing list. Something easily rectified, by signing up to receive them.

For safety I went through to subscribe and then the next CW marketing email a day or two later came through twice ](*,) Still, should at least get it… Agree with everything said on being quick and decisive in the sale - a couple of years ago I picked up a C1 Worldglow I’d been eying but it had been discontinued and I was fortunate to see the email reminder come in, get immediately on the site, and grab it straight away. (It was on a Milanese mesh bracelet that I didn’t like and spent some time finding the right CW black leather on a deployment for it. Better that than missing the watch!). Previous sales I’d dithered, missed what I wanted and then been stubborn about not buying from the hawkers when the same watch appeared on eBay with a mark up.

However, I’m not after anything at the moment and having broken my self imposed CW limit with an impulse buy C60 Mk2 GMT green bezel/black dial/yellow GMT a couple of weeks ago I really should avoid the temptation…

^^^ The trouble with signing up for marketing emails is that most companies (and I include CW in this) are, shall we say, a tad unrestrained. Holiday Extras are probably the worst. The urge to unsubscribe is always strong.

@PGR101
I have also started to receive two copies of each CW marketing email!🤔

@Amor Vincit Omnia
However don’t you like the point that they all seem obsessed with sending you an email thanking you for being a customer (or not) and wishing you a happy new year!🤣🤣

I too receive two of each email but I believe one is intended for the UK audience and the other for the US.

Based on previous experience I don't expect to see the preview link email until hours, maybe even minutes before the start time.

:) IIRC the email with the link is sent to customers in batches, in the following order, with at least 30 minutes gap between each email… :wink:

1). To customers who have bought a significant number of new watches direct from CW, at times other than the sale.
2). To customers who have occasionally bought new watches direct from CW, at times other than the sale.
3). To customers who only buy in a sale.
4). To potential customers who haven’t yet bought a CW but aren’t prepared to pay the reasonable RRP that is available outside of the frenzy of sale time.

The content of this email may not be correct! :lol:

Good if it was though. :wave:

I really don't see why they need to spend precious marketing budget on advertising the (generally close to sell-out) sale.

Any guesses from anyone?

It is an incentive to get more people on the mailing lists/marketing database.

My guess anyways

On the school pickup today, gates open around 3:05pm... so I'm hoping I can get on at 3pm on my phone while in the queue outside the school and get a purchase locked down before 3:05pm, otherwise... waiting until 3:30pm GMT until back home. Oh the pressure!

I was dreaming about the CW website last night, woke up at 530am with a dry throat. Not sure what tat means, but here we are.

Has anyone received their pre-sale link yet? I've registered, but had no further information since then.
