It's one Elite really, just offered on bracelet and hybrid.

I had the same colourway in a 40mm C60 Trident Pro 600 GMT that I thought worked rather well.

I'm in for one, to match that watch I bought from you. I quite like the color combo. This will be my third Blue/Black CW.

For me in the US, it was significantly cheaper to buy the watch on strap and get the bracelet separate.

I got the email at 15:05, which was five minutes late but I was shocked to see the link to the sales page posting long before 15 GMT.

Anyhow, I picked up one on my shortlist. C63 Sealander GMT in hunter green. Stunning piece. £734 from £915 which was only a 20% discount for nearly new. Tad disappointing but I picked a consort bracelet for half price at £130 which made up for it.

All in all, a good days work but the leaked sale link is a shame.

What do you know?! I just received my exclusive sale preview link from Christopher Ward! Being about six hours after the sale went live, the horse might be out of the barn. But I can say that I received one! Like everyone else on the Forum, I used the link posted here. Many of the watches are listed with a 20% discount, which is a sale but not what we have seen years ago. Since, those watches seemed to be selling quickly, why would they offer more? Like has been noted, if a person isn't willing to pay full price before, does the sale make all the difference?

I've admired the Bel Canto, but never been interested in the colours nor at full price. At 20% (basically the VAT) off I figured I'd give a Nero a go. Worst case it goes back to CW towers or pass it on via sales corner!

There is definitely another way to look at it in the case of the Bel Canto. The buyer isn't looking at a long wait to receive their watch by buying it on the sale! And there is a difference when considering percent off. Considering the full price on a Bel Canto, 20% off adds up to a lot more money than 20% off a $1,200 sale watch. If the buyer will be paying a customs duty & sales tax, the sale discount helps to offset that. I definitely understand that logic.

I had three in my basket, which quickly whittled down to a Sandhurst Bronze on Brown Oak Leather Strap by the time I reached checkout to pay, One is better than none mind you.

CW slipped their discount at sale time, for Nearly New models, from 30% to 20% a couple of years ago following the withdrawal of the £100/£125 LOUPE vouchers that were 'worth' in the region of 10%.

The differential between RRP and NN sale price is still pretty much the same; except they've stepped up the ladder a rung or two.

I was going to buy a XII at some point, but this sweetened the deal significantly. So yeah, i suppose it did make a difference.

It also means I’m more likely to buy the other watch on my desire list at full price somewhere down the line.
