Cheeky question…did you ‘chip’ them on the advertised price, Guy?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 6:15 pm @timepieces_and_bags - thanks Michael.
I knew I didn't / wouldn't have time to go back; a decision had to be made.
I saw it in the window, actually thinking the shop was shut and walked down the street. Turned around and realised the shop was open. Quick check on the CWArchive for Resale, thinking it was a regular C4, showed me the price was good.
Into the shop, asked to have a look at it, chatted, and decided to buy, even with the downside of no box, papers etc. That the bracelet is perfectly sized for me was a major bonus.
The jeweller has been in business for 40+ years and was Cash only! Fortunately there was a branch of Barclays bank across the street with an external ATM (as the branch was shut). Sorted.
It was only last night when I looked further at it that I realised it had an Aluminium Chapter Ring / Tachymeter and research lead me to the C4 Terminator models.![]()

Fair enough question, Phil.
The jeweller had not long ago acquired it and I got the vibe he probably wasn't fussed whether I bought it or not. Also his shop looked more like an antique / bric a brac shop than a jewellers.
I tried, and was successful with a typical 10%(ish) off at £180.
