For me, the journey to a unique & personalised level of patination is the point of bronze. Sometimes when the “optimal” finish is achieved, I think it would useful to stop right there. But then the patination gets darker, starts to look dirty in my view, and then I spend 2/3 minutes with some lemon juice to clean up the case to “almost but not quite raw”. The amazing journey starts again, a slightly different but equally enchanting experience, like a walk through the woods, different seasons, different trees, but familiar and always marvellous.timepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 1:53 am On the flip side (and maybe I’m overly romanticizing it), I quite like the idea of instead going through the ‘journey’ oneself since then the watch is very individual to you.
How do you like your Bronze case watches? Raw or Patinated?
