That's it mate, you've ruined the Lumiere for me now. Whenever I look at at that dial, all I see are urinal cakes :o0:

I love this watch, it sees CW move further away from the Rolex dive aesthetic and I'm all for it.

The black version is too monochromatic though. Here's an idea CW, make a Black with Red or Blue bezel/dive ring. Or half Red/half Blue.

Love the watch!! I just ran the numbers on the Lumeire on the bracelet for purchase in the USA. With included taxes (duty and MD state tax), it was $232 cheaper to order in GBP, but this is without the conversion fee that credit card companies usually charge. At $2,489 USD, it is still an expensive purchase for me.

There is a lot I like about this watch. There are some things that I really like. Having said that, I’m not in a rush to buy one. I think my preference would be for a blue one, which I’d likely wear on a blue and orange hybrid strap. I’d quite like the orange Aquaflex strap for another watch, so I’m pleased to see it in 22mm now.
Trying not to buy any more watches...

Be our guest.
Steve, for me, you win the forum today! Best I could come up with is that the orange dial could be christened "Fruit of the Lume"...

Thank you, sir! I ran the lights for that show just before Covid, brilliant memories!

Your idea for the orange is good.

@albionphoto and @manphibian Wil Brackfield mentioned in passing that CW are experimenting with hardness coatings in the R&D lab but there was nothing ready for this particular release. Suffice to say they are looking at it for future releases.

Others have said the same, either as a compliment or a dig, but I’d take it as a compliment either way.

VFM? I don’t know of much out there with a similar spec sheet for less or the same price. Considering all that you get with the package, it’s a solid buy. I need to see if it fits, as this could be my next watch…
The Delma Shell Star is quite similar and drops the COSC spec for 500 quid.

It wouldn't be £500 cheaper if it had the SW300 instead of the SW200 inside. That's +14hrs power reserve to the CW

Where does this sit with the Trident 4? Is this it or is the 300 still referred to as the Trident 3.5 with (delayed) Trident 4 still to follow?

Thanks

Isn't CW opening up a showroom in the US? If so, would that not lessen the import fees?

No, as sales will still be done from Maidenhead. The showroom will just be for inspecting and trying on watches.

Yes, CW is opening a Showroom in Dallas, TX, but it's just that, a Showroom (only).

Any resulting purchases will be online and fulfilled from CW Towers, Maidenhead, UK.
