Re: C60 Trident Lumiere
I've had both the Lumière and a Pelagos, albeit the FXD version.
Both are suitably light being titanium. The Lumière is the more svelte of the two, the Pelagos being somewhat classical and slab sided in design.
Lume? The Lumière wins quite comfortably. The Pelagos is good by most standards but the Lumière with it's solid, 3D ceramic lume hands and indices is top notch; doubt you'll get better.
Overall though it's horses for courses, and all down to personal preference.

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere
Hmm still interesting. I think I will pull the trigger sonewhen in '25. Unsure about the colour.
Aren't there any rumors about a smaller size coming?

I can't understand this, and I will post the thought here.
The Lumiere has just been voted CW watch of the year by some margin.
@willttqs is selling one in the sales corner, at a third off the new price, and it's not sold. I can't imagine there will be one in the sale at a comparable price. I thought it would sell instantly and I'm really surprised it hasn't. Lord knows, I don't need another watch, but I'm definitely thinking about it. Perhaps going above 4 figures is just off putting for some, knowing you can't return it, as you can with a new watch.

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere
If it had of been black at that price I’d have snapped it up. I was surprised at the price myself even for a used model, but then are all watches in the used market not down in price currently. Blue is nice, but maybe it’s the least popular of the three also.JAFO wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 10:32 pm I can't understand this, and I will post the thought here.

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere
If I didn’t already have a handful of C60 divers the Lumiere would be one I would consider. I don’t think I feel any upgrade pressure over my current watches. For new buyers they seem suitably premium.

I am surprised too. I bought off eBay a month ago for £100 more as well. TBH I may well keep it and put a rubber strap on it

Recorded sales in the Archive have been soft. sales
To be fair numbers have been low. We will have to give it a few months to see where it settles.

Don’t forget the rules for voting in the watch of the year meant we were supposed to vote for what we felt was the watch that would have the most significant impact for CW, not vote for the watch we thought was our personal favourite.
So the luminaire is considered a technical achievement but not necessarily something we want to buy.

Soft? . . Only c. 20% down from RRP.rkovars wrote:Recorded sales in the Archive have been soft. sales

That's pretty reasonable, isn't it?
Also, numbers of resales are perhaps low, as people who've bought realise they have a great watch and are hanging onto it.

Should we have a vote to see what the most popular reason for voting is?iain wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 1:29 pm Don’t forget the rules for voting in the watch of the year meant we were supposed to vote for what we felt was the watch that would have the most significant impact for CW, not vote for the watch we thought was our personal favourite.
