The more I look at the Lumiere, the more I like it. The only thing holding me back is the bezel. I really wish they did the 600 bezel instead of the 300. I just can't seem to like that inner ring. Other than that, it's a home run in my book. The dimensions and textured dial are perfect.

As an old scrawny pensioner I would like to register my interest in a smaller/more economical model.
Steel 36mm case without the Helium valve should do it, minimum 56 hour power reserve. COSC would be nice but my current 36mm Sealander GMT is on -2 seconds per day, so happy with that.
Keep the orange option or perhaps a dark raspberry dial? Now I've done it!

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting the blue C60 Trident Lumiere. I have a couple of questions which I would be most grateful for your help with....

1. It says the watch is 41mm. I have a C65 Cranwell Series 1 which is also 41mm. The photos on this topic seems to show that the watch is larger on people's wrists. Is it 41mm face or 41mm maximum dimension less the crown? If it helps my wrist is 19.5 cm

2. The difference in price between the bader bracelet and the rubber strap - £335 - seems absolutely ridiculous. That difference was about 42% of the total price of my C65. Is that difference worth it?

Thanks in advance

@bigbadbob

41mm is the case size without the crown. I think probably it appears bigger because the C65 Cranwell Series 1 has an internal bezel while the Lumiere has the outer bezel. The lug to lug is also larger on the Lumiere at 47.9mm vs. 47.1mm.

The second question I think is actually one of two parts. The first is whether you simply prefer the Bader bracelet or rubber strap. Personally I prefer the more subtle black/grey dial on the Bader bracelet and the louder orange dial on the rubber strap. I think the blue falls somewhere in between but would look equally good on either. It's a personal choice and I'm not sure my answer is that helpful really.

The second part to your second question is cost. Firstly it's a titanium bracelet and secondly I think it's 4-5 years probably since the C65 was priced. So inflation and metal probably accounts for a reasonable portion of the cost comparison, although to some degree this is comparing apples and pears.

Best,
TB

41mm minus crown. I would check out dipidyy's post a page back with a 17cm wrist.

Keep in mind that this is a full titanium bracelet in this case. It is going to be more expensive than steel. Only you will be able to determine if it is worth having the bracelet or not. One good thing about CW is that there isn't much (if any) difference getting the bracelet later. They don't tend to upcharge for the bracelet on its own.

He's right^^^^^^^^ of course. The other way to think this through is whether you'd actually wear a rubber strap? I say this because I know that I won't PLUS the titanium bracelet is very nice. :thumbup:

@bigbadbob

You might like to take a look at my photos in the Reference Gallery

I have a 19cm / 7.5" fairly flat topped wrist. The Lumière wore really well and comfortably for me.

I don’t see many photos of the blue on the reference gallery or elsewhere. Has that not been as popular? It’s on my wish list…

Blue was on my shorlist. I think it has the best fume colour, then orange and least the black/grey. Weirdly wanted to go with the black/grey as it felt less flashy and more subdued.
