There's a lot of details on the how, why and wherefore for the C12 The Twelve 36 in the Autumn Edition of Loupe.

Re: Small is BIG
My thoughts, too. Although there is precedent in that the 36mm sealander costs the same as the 39mm sealander. But those both have a date function at least. I'm not sure if the no-date sellita movement costs any different than the date version. If anything I think the cost difference would be negligible.
I was hoping for a black or grey dial, and titanium and/or chronometer in the 36mm. Not that I'm in a position to buy right now, but I'd like one of these in the future.
We'll just have to wait and see what new variants the future brings!

^^^ As far as I know it’s still a SW200-1. You just run it without date wheel or window…I think.

But does it have a ghost position for setting the non visible date on the stem?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 2:38 pm ^^^ As far as I know it’s still a SW200-1. You just run it without date wheel or window…I think.

We Found The Secret Behind The New 36MM The Twelve!
This man talks about the new Twelve. Sellita removed the date wheel prior to shipment. Ziggurats are slightly different and with a bit more space in-between. Twin Flags moved down and applied makers are thinner. The dial breaths better now.
I really like it and the new White/Rosegold color. It has a vintage vibe to it with the date removed. I don't know if that's enough to make me pick it over the 40mm though as 36mm can be small.

Re: Small is BIG
CW routinely have the 'ghost position' engineered out on any of their no date watches; as I am able to attest from my C65 Sandhurst Series 2 and C65 Divetimer.rc51owner wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 2:43 pmBut does it have a ghost position for setting the non visible date on the stem?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 2:38 pm ^^^ As far as I know it’s still a SW200-1. Re: Small is BIG
^^^ From what I've heard and my own experience, CW uses the SW200-1 b on their no-date watches, which does not have a date wheel, and does not have a crown position for the date. The SW200-1 a is the date version. Two different movements that they manufacture.

Looks great, some impressive colours.
But, too small for me. Would get lost in my watch box next to the Beasts.
Still on the lookout for my next CW.

Entirely too small for my wrist, but happy for folks that were looking for a smaller alternative.

Re: Small is BIG
Britt has a review up. Interesting to note she’s wearing what sure looks like a Bel Canto, and it makes another appearance at the end!

Re: Small is BIG
I wish CW would use top-grade movements at the minimum.
I recall Mike France saying he's been apprehensive about considering it because it would add something around $200, but I would personally gladly pay the negligible amount in order to truly consider the watch as a daily wearer with respectable accuracy.
