Applied twin flags to existing models

Post by Dayglow_01 »

With the twin flags being applied and not printed to the dial of the Dune and CW mentioning in the latest Loupe magazine that this will be the default going forward, do you think it will be rolled out to existing models?

I'm thinking of buying the Trident Pro 300 but am wondering if it's worth waiting to see if it gets the upgrade.

I'm sure it will be used on all models going forward, but you may have to wait a while, depending on how many printed dials have been made.

If you look at how CW transitioned from the word mark to the swish, newer/high volume models will likely come first, so it might not be long for the Trident 300s.

CW started the transition from the word mark the swish quite a while ago (April 2022), but some models still have the word mark, like the hunter green Sealanders.

I’m with you…I plan to buy a few of the existing models once they transition to the Applied Logo. Love the way it looks on the Dune.

The applied logo will be a positive upgrade to many.models in the range.

If the stack height between the dial & hands permits, would be awesome to have the twin flags applied as a bonus or additional service cost for sending a CW back for service; I could envision it as a additional business wing for CW, even a printed twin flags would be great on my C60 Trident Mrk2. With the improvements coming in base movements from Sellita over the next few years and the expiring patents on Si; it very well may be as cost effective to drop in a new movement and recycle the old movement; would be inline with the desire to be more environmentally conscious and the trade off, much longer power reserve, 5 or more years before another service, one can hope. Applied logo is killer, great job by the whole CW team.
