Sealander vs aquatine vs pro 300

Post by Gurbirthedhaliwal »

If affordability wise you only had one option which model will that be.

For me is sealander but would love to try or see an aquatine in hand some day.

Sealander 63 GMT.

But oddly enough these ranges can give the perfect 2-watch CW collection, in my opinion: A 36mm sealander together with that 38mm 300 Pro. Hm hm hm.

I’ve always been interested in a bronze watch but not interested enough to pull the trigger on a nice one. I’m worried I’ll hate the patina or the upkeep to remove the patina if I hate it.

Anyway, any of these three watches are great watches. The Aquitaine is my favorite but it’s just down to looks for me. On the other hand, buy a trident and have cash left over for straps.

3 excellent watches but for me the C63 GMT. Mine is a white dial :)
CW took inspiration from a classic watch and moved the game on....a lot.

Do customers in that predicament of not sure which watch they want, order 2 or all 3? Knowing that they are going to return all but 1 watch. Or even order different colors of the same watch, knowing they will return one?

Does Christopher Ward frown on this activity?

I think of the three the Aquitaine just barely edges the 300. I'm not a big Sealander fan and I'm not fond of <40mm diameters.

The 300 is probably a better all-arounder, but the Aquitaine with it's sapphire bezel and sunburst dial just looks a little nicer to me over the flat dial 300. But really you can't go wrong with either

I’ve done this but canceled the orders before they get here because it seemed like a hassle. Also because there was a non-zero chance I’d just keep everything while my wallet gently wept.

I effectively ended up doing this with a green and blue Aquitaine, though. I think they have to expect some level of this when they’re online only.

I think that’s the best looking one of the whole line. I look forward to pics.
