One week since watch arrived back at CW Towers.

Confirmation of receipt received, now for the inspection notification and course of action to be taken.
Speck of dust being covered under warranty and PRIORITY repair.

Timescale from now 4-6 weeks. Priority repair, are they having a laugh.
Oh man… hope it’s an under promise/over deliver situation!

This just arrived (from the sale)… C65 Aquitaine GMT Orca Black… looks stunning 8)

Need to unwrap it and get it on a suitable strap, until I can resize the bracelet

I’m debating if I should keep, return, or send back for repair?

I’d live with this misalignment of the bezel if the time keeping was superb, alas, it is losing 5 seconds over the last 12 hours and it’s COSC. I’ll check it again tonight.

Regulation would be 8 weeks for the movement which sucks when I’ve had the watch for less than a day… if I return for refund, I obviously won’t be able to get the same model to replace it. Would they even align the bezel?

Image

What say you?

I could live with the bezel, but if the time keeping is off I would have to get it sorted.
Saying that if you have only had it one day things may improve over the next few days.
If it were my watch, I would wear it for a week and see what its like after 7 days, if it was outside of cosc tolerances after a week I would send it back to get it sorted.
I understand it's frustrating to have to return a new watch, but not as frustrating as a watch that isn’t running properly.

David.

On the time keeping I would demag it just in case and watch it over several days of wear. If still out after say 7 days I'd have them regulate it.

EDIT to add: If the watch has been sitting in one position for most of that time, I would check it against the card to make sure it is off from what was measured.
The bezel is a tough one. I couldn't tell too much by the pic you posted but I could see it in the other pics that you posted. You can always ask. If the answer is no, you are no worse off then you are now.

There is one in sales corner that has a better aligned bezel. You could always send yours back and pick up that one.

I’m very glad they haven’t added another Darty. I’ve been mulling one over and don’t need a reason.

Most likely dictated by the availability of the Blue Tropic strap which, as a stand alone item, is on pre-order for end-July.

That 13 Air Assault is pretty slick. Not a bad price on it either.

Is that shade of red slightly different from earlier red bezels, or am I seeing what I want to see?

I’m glad I resisted the Green/Green Aquitaine.

I’ve gone for the C63 Sealander GMT.

All your fault, Steve

It’s down to that damn fine photo of it on the Black/Orange hybrid. Thanks my friend 😂

Maybe a little darker? This is an image I pulled from one I am watching on eBay.
