Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
My Sealander GMT arrived today. No obvious signs of any wear and tear but I think it will have to go back because the GMT hand isn’t aligned correctly.

Thank you man!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 4:48 pmIt will, but remember the C1 Moonglow is 20mm lugs (not 22 mm)- try this onesamlin3317 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 4:40 pm
Will the vintage oak leather strap work with my C1 moonglow?
Thanks!
My recommendation though for the C1 Moonglow is the Black Peccary strap, superb quality and a red underside that will match the red details on your moonglow.

Do you find the straps in Pounds much cheaper than in USD?
like 50% cheaper.
Thanks.
Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
That might be ok. Check if it aligns ok once you get to the top of the hour. The GMT hand doesn't jump; rather it moves very slowly (relative to distance) over the hour.
Beat up vintage Swatch Irony, C5 Malvern (the original), Swiss Military Swiss Soldier Quartz, Seagull 1963, Swatch Blurang Automatic, Swatch Cafe de Flore, Sealander GMT, Trident Pro 600, Fitbit Charge 5. Festina 8810, Addiesdive AD2113 knock off.

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
They helped me—lol. I just snagged the V2 version. I thought I was done for the year…but…. I thought the difference between V1 and 2 was the V1 used the SW330 movement while the V2 uses the SW330-2 with a longer power reserve (56hrs vice 42) and more precise action on the jumping GMT hand. Shooting from the hip, though, so I might be a bit off.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 4:35 pm ^^^^ A couple of pics of mine from the CW of the Day thread;-
. . .and a pretty rubbish, low light photo
Hope these help.

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
I managed to find this post and after following the instructions it seems a lot better. I’ll see how it goes over the next couple of days but hopefully it’s all sorted now.

Remember the price in GBP (£42) includes 20% VAT (Value Added Tax), which gets taken off when you put a USA shipping address.samlin3317 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:51 pm Thank you man!

I've not tested it, but I've read multiple comments, on here and the CWE Facebook Group, that buying in USD is not favourable right now due to the exchange rate set within the CW system (its not open / real time).
You're better off buying in GBP.
How much the difference is, I don't know but I sincerely doubt its 50%; more like 10% - !5%. Still worth doing.

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Nice to see the flurry of activity with the sale. I looked, and was too late on the Orca Black Aquitaine GMT. Someone got themselves a good deal! I ended up with a few straps on their way to me. I’ll refresh again tomorrow.

It's actually around 35% cheaper if considering the VAT. GBP 42* 1.2 (VAT) *1.2 (Exchange rate) = USD 60.50.
On the other hand, the discounted price listed for USD is USD 94.
So that is essentially giving me a 35% of discount if I buy in GBP.
Thanks for the advice!

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Well I managed to pick up a C60 orange sapphire prototype (and what I thought was the best of the bunch) right at the start of the sale.
Arrived today and I’m a bit disappointed. It was supposed to be opaque but it’s not. I’m not a fan of seeing the date wheel - it just doesn’t work for me.
Anyone interested in it (at £688 + p&p what it cost me) before I send back to CW, pm me (UK only due to the difficulty insuring overseas watches). I’ll add details to sales corner shortly.

^ Ooh, another orange prototype! The other two were opaque and don't think they had bright blue bits. And is that a black Trident hand? Definitely different, quite probably unique.

I quite like that, but as you’re offering UK only, I’m out. I understand your shipping limit.Ttf23 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:08 pm Well I managed to pick up a C60 orange sapphire prototype (and what I thought was the best of the bunch) right at the start of the sale.

No problem. Grabbed a bracelet myself to go with the green sealander I managed to get

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Hey - apologies, I just haven’t found a cost effective way of sending overseas.
It’s now OHPF. Thanks all

Mine looks like delivery tomorrow.
Really great looking watch, great price. (£407)
But it’s going back.
Just south west of date window there is a tiny speck of dust inside. Only visible at certain angles but once I’ve seen it, I keep looking for it.
My OCD wouldn’t forgive me if I kept it.
First ever problem with a NN.

OHPF but for information, Royal Mail does not insure watches on international journeys, so don’t be tempted to pay for extra cover.
I use Royal Mail Parcelforce, uninsured, with separate insurance from Secursus. Never had to claim, but peace of mind comes at reasonable price.
