Legibility is perfectly fine, considering its a 'steal' watch'.

One superb attraction, to me, is the two tone bezel - not immediately apparent in CW's website photos.

The V2 is my pick as it has the upgraded SW330-2 GMT movement with a much smoother date/GMT adjustment and a 56 hrs power reserve.

Not that I usually advocate this, and I have never done it in the 10 years I have been buying CW watches, but you have the safety net of the 60/60 to be able to return it if it doesn't meet your expectations.

Your call.

. . . . . one that stood out to me as seriously good value, the C60 Abyss GMT V1 & V2 versions in new condition, in the 'up to 40%off ' category @ £705.00 (for a UK buyer); I've got one already bought nearly new back in January - dare I buy another for a rainy day?

Vintage leather oak in 22mm, kerching! Thank you Guy!
Will the vintage oak leather strap work with my C1 moonglow?

Thanks!

I’ve just picked up an Abyss GMT. I previously bought one earlier this year, and after a period of indecision whilst it sat in the box I returned it to CW.

I’ve frequently lamented this decision and secretly hoped that one might become available in the next sale.

This time I’m taking it straight out of the box, removing any tags, having the bracelet resized and keeping it

It will, but remember the C1 Moonglow is 20mm lugs (not 22 mm)- try this one

My recommendation though for the C1 Moonglow is the Black Peccary strap, superb quality and a red underside that will match the red details on your moonglow.

Thanks. I wouldn't have looked otherwise. Bracelet for my Sealander GMT and hybrid rubber strap (blue/orange) on the way.

Is there any difference other than the movement? I can't see any, but not sure how they can try and sell both versions at the same price when one's just better.

Though I guess once the V2 has gone the buyer of the V1 wont know

I also got a green C63 GMT on the first day of sale, available only on a Tide strap. But just a few minutes ago the C63 Nearly New bracelet popped up on the sale page and I snagged it immediately. Still more available as it remains listed for sale.

I almost bought this watch on bracelet at the San Francisco Windup Watch Fair in April. I couldn't resist the 30% off prices.

There may be a difference on the bezel action; unidirectional - V1, bi-directional - V2 but don't quote me.

When they're gone (the V2 version) they're gone!

I had a NN Sealander bracelet in the basket (for my blue Sealander Auto) until I realised that at £122.50 it's more expensive than the difference between a new Sealander GMT on a tide strap vs on a new bracelet (£110).

I'm not in any rush for the bracelet so I'll wait until I visit the Showroom to look at the Sealander GMT.

The tide strap is £60 to buy, if you buy a watch and steal the bracelet you'll need a strap for the new watch and only have £12.50 to buy one. And instead of spending £122.5 you'll have spent nearly £1000

Unfortunately I was away when the Sale started so didn't have access otherwise I would have bought 1 of the Sealander GMTs that I see were available initially then I would have bought 1 of the NN bracelets if necessary.
