Think I need to gather my thoughts on this. Certainly looks a step up from the previous C65 and layout.

Logo: Seeing the wordmark at 12 on recent models it started to look good in my view. Was not convinced by the recent LE trident with twin flags at 12 and not sure of this here. Can they just pick one logo and stick to it on ALL future models, layout permitting. If it is collection dependent I would expect this modern looking flags to be on a C60 and not what is a slightly retro watch with domed crystal etc.

Bezel looks good.

With all the intrigue and talk I may have been expecting something more different maybe so I am a little underwhelmed at the moment. But then again it is a watch and you can only do so much to change it I guess.

Did the presentation give any further insight into logo direction across the various models or highlight any particular features of this watch they were proud of? Would be good to hear from those that attended.

Swoosh (or Swiish) only, is the way forward for the Logo; no specifics given on adoption on other, current, models but expect new releases to be Swoosh only.

Are we calling the flags a swoosh then, aka Nike!
Lets see how quickly the others change over then. I guess the C60 won't be too far along.

The strap width of 22mm is a surprise when the lug to lug is shorter than a C60 40mm. It explains how there is a bigger taper which is a good thing generally. Better WR of 200m I see too.

Will be good to see some real life pics to see how the new colours work in reality rather than in just the CW web images.

Early opinion: generic Kickstarter dive watch vibes for me.

Pulls a ton from dictator friendly fyfty fathoms, but imo they nailed it.
I was looking for a blue watch, need a diver…found one. Almost ordered bronze but hate lack of versatility. Normal blue it was…

Now I’ll need to decide what I’ll do with my c63 gmt.

Yes, that's what struck me. Actually, I own one already. It's called a Zelos Mako. At 35% of the price.

Fortunately for my bank balance, I don't like it.

I just cannot get on with that style of crystal and the resultant distortion.

What a great look. I love the bezel, markers, hands, layout. The cream dial green bezel is a really nice color way.

I do prefer just the logo at 12 over the just word mark at 12.

However I still think the words Christopher Ward should be written under the logo. Seems too bare without it. It can be done just fine even with a longer name. Take a look at a Vacheron Constantin for inspiration.

Oh, and the logo should be applied/raised.

Make those minor improvements and it might be as close to perfect as a CW can get.

A swing and a miss for me. Fully appreciate this is all down to personal taste, however few things that jump out at me from the off are 22mm lug width over 20mm, looks like some of the micro brands already on the market, missed opportunity to go with IMO popular size of 39mm case and for some unknown reason it’s priced higher that the COSC certified Dartmouth which is also a vintage inspired diver.

Golden chance to launch a 39mm vintage inspired diver with 20mm lug width to take on the likes of the Tudor BB58 and draw in the folk who dislike the name. It’s a no for me and will wait for something else
