I don't have a toolwatch, only wristwatches.

What defines a "Toolwatch"? I've heard the expression before but assumed it was the same as a "Beater" - no?

No, just as a watch - I find it bl***y useless as a screwdriver. :)

My CW is not here yet but here is a peek of things to come..

I dont have my C60 Trident GMT in my hands yet but will at the end of the week. I use the hell out of my watches and several would classify as tool watches. The intended use of my C60 is keeping track of different timezones when I am overseas. Here is a few shots of some recent activity with my Omega Planet Ocean to tide you over.

My Omega went along for a airborne op a few weeks ago. Launched off the deck, parachuted out of a Blackhawk UH-60 into the ocean and rode in zodiacs back to the beach. Got in several jumps. :) This is what this watch was meant to do.

Waiting for the bird. What a beautiful morning.

Have you tried it as a hammer?

Excellent photos, thank you for posting. Maybe there should be a thread of watches in the 'workplace'?

Personally I have never had the urge, inclination or job that meant I had to exit a perfectly serviceable aircraft. Although I have done the helicopter dunk and rollover survival stuff. Funnily enough wasn't wearing a watch for that as struggling with the dry suit cuffs.

On topic do not deliberately use CWL as a tool/beater watch (I have others for that) although the C2 has been known to stay on my wrist for days.

It sounds to me that the Laird missed the poll of the day :

"Do you use your Chr. Ward watch as a tool watch ?

- yes
- no

I vote yes... But I try to keep my watches in a NOS condition. :D

Debo, welcome and thanks for the photos. Hard to believe you get paid (I assume) for doing that stuff- looks great fun.
