Saw a review of the C5 in Shortlist while looking for a "good watch", then Staff Discount Scheme offered 10% cashback on CWL. Bought C6 from CWL and a C5 from eBay. Now on 8. 9th (Forum LE) on order. 

Through the interweb a few years back. The Laird, I think you should have your own personal forum title - The threadstarter. It would go along nicely with Forum Menace and Knight of the dive. :D
CW’s - C63 sealander, C65 Chrono
Others - Rolex Submariner, Rolex Airking, Rolex Datejust, Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris, Bremont Airco Mach1, Duckworth Prestex Viewmatic and 1 or 2 others

I was looking for a blue dial chronograph with an alarm. There wasn't much around. Found CWL and the C4SBS...took a chance and have since become a bit involved with the Forum and CWL. :)

Was looking for a watch as a leaving gift before emigrating to Australia, found the C4SKS then the C6FLE, waiting on the 2011LE, and probably going in for a C9SSK in the next week or so :)

After buying a Speedbird III (on which the only dial writing is "SL - Great Britain - SL" I too was looking for "British" watches.
