The FLEC do NOT get a free watch or offered any discount on the FLE.
This may surprise people but not all FLEC members are planning to buy!
We have been offered the opportunity to choose a serial number if we so wish and are planning to purchase the 2013 FLE.
Now when I put myself forward to be a member it was because I wanted to be involved in the designing of a watch. That idea itself was what interested and excited me and i felt that I could control my own wants and preferences to be able to help produce a watch that the Forum would be proud of.
In fact, many times during the process, the Forum voting has gone against what i would of personally wished for but i am still proud of what we have produced. I had no idea I would be allowed the option to choose a serial number apart from the usual ordering process.
However, if this small "earned" advantage is causing a very few people undue stress, bad feeling and frustration I am happy to put my number back in the pot and hope to be allocated it in the normal ordering process.
Peace out y'all
Choosing your serial number seems a very reasonable reward for all the time and effort you guys put in. I don't personally have any problem with it. Thanks for all of the FLEC members hard work. Just wish I'd been lucky enough to be chosen.

It's a shame that the FLEC don't get a free watch this year. You are still getting the all-expenses weekend break as thanks for your efforts though, right?

Seriously though................ This is not a conspiracy theory, the only perk to being on the FLEC was the possibility to reserve your preferred serial number.

Which would automatically become the most pointless thread ever in its own right!highway62 wrote:Perhaps a poll on whether this is the most pointless thread ever?
