Return pack delivered promptly today. Will post the watch out tomorrow and keep you updated. Thanks for all the messages of sympathy. Hey-ho, it's only a poorly watch, not a pet, relative or me...much appreciated though.

Had the crown fall off a C8 MK11 vintage watch I gave to my son earlier this year
(May I think) after his return from Afghan.CW fixed and returned it in about 3 weeks with no charge
good luck with yours AVO.

No apologist here, but someone mentioned Nomos earlier in this thread.

I had mentioned that my Nomos Orion went wonky (literally, for the balance wheel, when not in a horizontal position) very early on in the Vintage Challenge when I began using it as a reference/pacer watch. This was the first time I had wound it so often and kept it running continuously for so long. QC as well?

It doesn't seem to be getting better so I've contacted Nomos and am currently thinking about what's the best way to send it back. :(

Wheels are in motion, if you'll excuse the pun. I received an acknowledgement by email today. Watch received, expected turnaround 2-3 weeks.

It's back!

Turned around in a week - detailed description of work carried out, new protective stickers on the watch. Looks good and keeping time fine so far.

I approve!
