I recently preordered a bronze 300 pro. My first higher end watch ever. It showed that it was preorder for nov 30. On the 28th they showed in stock and it says being prepared for despatch. It still shows the same I know there have been issues with orders being delayed.

Just curious on if this is fairly normal.

As you have a status of being prepared for despatch, I would imagine it is imminent. Drop CW customer service an email for an update, they are pretty good to deal with. In my experience CW "pre order" dates are wishful thinking at best, but it looks like you are going to be one of the lucky ones.
