Thoughts on c65 on a tide strap?
Thoughts on c65 on a tide strap?
Has anyone put their tide strap on the c65 dune? I was considering getting one but not sure if it will suit the style of the Watch any feedback or photos appreciated! Thanks

While I don’t yet have a C65 Dune, I do have an earlier C65 on a tide strap. I think it suits the tool aspects and functions of the watch. It didn’t take too long for the tide to break in either, just a few weeks. My watch originally shipped with a canvas. The tide is a nice alternate in my view.

I think it will work well. I’m another one who doesn’t have a Dune, but I do like the tide straps.

Trying not to buy any more watches...

@Clach77 I also have the black/orange one on my Sealander GMT. It’s a nice comfortable strap but the only downside for me is that it takes ages to dry out if you swim with it. For that reason I prefer the hybrid.

Re: Thoughts on c65 on a tide strap?
I'm not sure about the #tide strap on a C65 Dune.
The Dune is a 38mn case with 20mm lugs / strap width. The strap at the lugs is therefore relatively wide and really suits the leather/ canvas straps or bracelet that taper.
To have the straight profile of the #tide strap is, arguably, on the bulky side.
That said I will confess to preferring to wear my C65 Sandhurst, same 38mn case / 20mn lugs, on a NATO strap, that is a straight profile but, in my view, had a special character of its own that allows it to look good.

Canvas strap from vintage time straps Amazon. Better than CW as it actually bends lol.

I still think that is an absolutely stunning dial. One of CW's best!thomcat00 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 6:16 am While I don’t yet have a C65 Dune, I do have an earlier C65 on a tide strap. I decided to return it was quite rough. Finding decent straps is difficult.
