Looks like the wrong colour strap to me (again).

So the question becomes do I have the wherewithal and interest in pursuing it further. And the answer feels like no. So really just a PSA for anyone expecting the older vintage oak strap, regardless of color. They've changed.

The picture of my own straps that I posted earlier in this thread has direct bright light on both straps and doesn't accurately show the color difference. The new camel is definitely darker. I think you had the correct strap to begin with, and now have 2 of the correct straps.

I think I misunderstood. I thought the strap on the watch resting on the box was the camel strap. You mean the strap IN the box is the new "camel" strap.

Agreed. The OP does indeed now have a free correct strap, to add to the correct strap that he already had! :)
