I didn't realize how much this watch looked like the Czapek until I googled it. Wow, yeah it appears CW got a little "inspiration" from this watch LOL
I wonder if one of the designers of the Antarctique and the head of design for CW are very well acquainted…

Little Mayan pyramids of wonder
Brilliant!
I think CW need to patent this name for the dial texturing. “Chichén Itzá” dial.
Which will probably become known as “It’s a chicken”
I described it to Mike and Declan as the Aztec Pyramid dial. In some lights it can also look like a honeycomb dial. It seems that they are collecting adjectives to describe the dial. IMO the texture works better on darker dials but I'm weird.

Well I've had my despatch notification. Excited to see it but still think it's going to be slightly too big given these style watches seem to wear bigger than the case size suggests.

Yep, looks as good as I expected.
But for now a splintery sit on the fence. From Jody's video, not so sure how that bracelet works on a skinny wrist, doesn't seem to conform very quickly. There will be more videos. I 'share' my wrist with Teddy...
How does the rubber strap wear? I actually like the look of it best with that, especially the Ti Astral Blue. I could see myself wearing that. 9mm thin, yes please.
36mm coming but I think I'd want more presence with a watch like this. Watch people are picky and I'm no different. I'm looking for a 38...
Rubber strap is very comfortable. At Omega Seamaster level for comfort and Omega are pretty much the best of the bunch for this sort of strap.

If the steel version was available with a SW300-1 COSC movement I’d get one of these in a heartbeat. I’ve many watches with the SW200-1 with just 38 hours PR. When the swatch group offer 80 hours power reserve in a PRX surely CW should be offering better than the SW200-1 with low PR and questionable accuracy.

Is the dial texture as noticeable in real life as it appears in the still pictures? That's my only real query, I think.
The dial texture is very noticeable in real life especially on the lighter colours.

Which prompts a question from a position of every day being a learning day: who does make a butterfly clasp with micro-adjust?
My JLC does, it has a small extension on each side which allow about 2.5mm each. Not my photos but here are some I found via Google image search showing it extended and not extended, note the small steps either side of the clasp where it hinges in.
Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Richard D wrote:Well done CW for delivering yet another watch that challenges the watch industry. I’ve absolutely no doubt that The Twelve will have orders flying in. I’m looking forward to seeing one on my next visit to Park Street.
Challenges?
In what way?
To me it's just another integrated sports watch done sooooo many times before by numerous brands showing no innovation or imagination.
No doubt executed reasonably well, but hardly challenging the industry.
Be interested to hear your thoughts Rich

Have you taken note of the three finishes, Blasted, Brushed and Polished, within the Bezel alone.
That's a fair old challenge in my book.

I agree Guy
MF described it as an astounding achievement.....
Not sure about that....
