Challenges?
In what way?
To me it's just another integrated sports watch done sooooo many times before by numerous brands showing no innovation or imagination.
No doubt executed reasonably well, but hardly challenging the industry.

Have you taken note of the three finishes, Blasted, Brushed and Polished, within the Bezel alone.

That's a fair old challenge in my book.

That's the one for me too!! My focus was the ice blue dial and my heart isn't warmed by the rubber strap full stop so decision made.

And maybe, "let's see which dial colour flies and offer it in titanium"? That for me is the gamble of buying now. Gamble? Gamble? I'm told we only live once

Very tempting, very tempting indeed! Would have like to see the better movement also in the steel versions, but not a big issue. Hm …

It’s clear to me where CW took its design clues from for The Twelve. They haven’t hidden it, Gérald Genta:
the ‘Picasso’ of watchmaking’. What they have effectively done is deliver another beautifully engineered watch. It may not be to everyone’s taste, mine included, but I do applaud what they have done.

I think that is just gorgeous. Another example of CW offering their take on one of the contemporary design classics - the integrated SS sports watch. What they did with the BC shook up a lot of the watch world, a mechanical chiming watch for a previously unthought of amount of cash. I see this offering having a similar kind of impact with the watch buying public. Very well done CW, impressive stuff.

I like it better than I expected to. Generally not a fan of integrated bracelets. Nice touches on the dial and the indices/hands look great. I could do without the crown guards personlly. Throws the balance off a little to my eyes. Definitely reminds me of some of the other watches out there like the Omega Constellation, Tudor Royal, and a few others. But overall a very nice design. The size is right for this watch. Glad they went with a butterfly clasp. But at the end of the day I'm not jumping for this one. My Datejust occupies the semi-dress part of my collection very well, so I'm not sure where I'd wear something like this. Still a nice release from CW.

I didn't realize how much this watch looked like the Czapek until I googled it. Wow, yeah it appears CW got a little "inspiration" from this watch LOL

Christopher Ward have stated their influences for this watch,

but whisper it....

I see strong hints of Seiko in the general shape and gradated dials in the blue and purple ones.

There I said it

Integrated bracelet, an overly fussy dial texture, hex screws on the back where nobody can see them, a weird name and crown guards like 1980's shoulder pads. I get that it's a(n) homage but I can't wait to never buy it. Really underwhelmed by this product launch, roll on the SH21 mk II and really hoping it's something more exciting.
+1 here. I'm not keen, but then again I've never seen the appeal of an AP Royal Oak either. I really don't like textured dials covered in squares, waffles or whatever else they might be. Plain and boring with a splash of colour please.

However, the world would be boring if we all liked the same things.
Ah you're probably one of them "young fellers"  You just wait 'til you're at home spending your pension on silly watches and watching youtube all day and then you'll be glad of a linen dial or a bit of teak planking or even aa scratchy ombre

You're absolutely right though about not everyone liking the same thing

Oooh, a beauty! I just may be dipping my toes in the titanium waters again. CW delivered yet another great design. Their interpretation of the integrated bracelet looks very appealing and the textured dial is amazing.

There is no micro adjustment. However, the removable single links are short enough so you should be able to get a good all-round fit. There’s a similar clasp on my Ulysse Nardin and it’s absolutely fine.
That’s a shame, as someone who adjusts their watches roughly two times a day I personally wouldn’t buy another watch without a micro adjust as fit is super important to me. Would have been a killer watch if they had figured this out with the clasp. Maybe in a future model.
Which prompts a question from a position of every day being a learning day: who does make a butterfly clasp with micro-adjust? And a question from curiosity: do you have an extreme case of wrist expansion/contractionitis?
