@AlphaLimaGolf what a hero! Thanks for these pics. This reaffirms I’ll be waiting for the 36mm.

No worries! I would say 6.5 inch wrist is about the minimum for this watch. On rubber, down to 6 inches should be fine.

Re: “The Twelve” is live
Perhaps, but I have a 6” wrist and nearly all of CW’s straps are too long for my wrist even on the last hole. I have to retrofit bader clasps on them to make them work, or just stick with the bracelet.AlphaLimaGolf wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 2:04 pmNo worries! @AlphaLimaGolf Your measurements are really helpful, thank you. If you still have your calipers out, could you please at some point also measure the diameter of the crystal and of the dial, both including and excluding the minute-track? Many thanks in advance.

Crystal: 34mm
Dial: 33mm (the rehaut is vertical, but seems to be just a smidge under the crystal diameter)
Dial not including minute track: 29.5mm
I am having to 'eyeball' the dial measurements, but pretty happy they're correct.
Want me to measure the date window next?!!

Re: “The Twelve” is live
I think I'm a bit less than 6.5 but works fine for me. I've been wearing my 36mm Sealanders a lot recently and it doesn't look large in comparison.AlphaLimaGolf wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 2:04 pm No worries! I tried on the Zenith Defy Skyline (41mm) and GP Laureato (42mm) a couple of weeks ago. The skyline was a bit big but the Laureato looked absolutely massive (utterly horrendous on the wrist). Very pleasantly surprised at the fit of the 12, and I think the 36mm version would be a bit small for me.
If there was a 38mm however...

Oh, and for those wondering - the dial is not subtle whatsoever, at least not on this version.

Re: “The Twelve” is live
@sproughton, from the looks of that picture, legibility with the white dial should not be an issue. It looks fantastic.
Concerning size, I’m curious about how a 36mm will look. I like a smaller size on my wrist, but this style of watch seems ideal for a larger size. I wonder if something will be lost if it’s scaled down.

Re: “The Twelve” is live
Yeah, it looks great on your wrist, and anyway, it comes down to what you like and what feels right. The fact that the end links angle down quite a way (and without breaking the flow between them and the case) certainly helps this watch wear well.sproughton wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 2:41 pmI think I'm a bit less than 6.5 but works fine for me.AlphaLimaGolf wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 2:04 pm No worries! Re: “The Twelve” is live
I’m hoping it’ll be the same, just smaller. But you never know.
Only a 5 month wait to see what CW does with the 36!

Re: “The Twelve” is live
From what I could tell from CW's website images, the hands and indices on the white dial (and maybe the pale blue) are slightly darker than on the darker colour dials. I think this means you may lose a little light play from them, but the legibility is great.

Re: “The Twelve” is live
If memory serves, the hands and indices on the white dial Sealanders were described as gun metal gray. One might assume it’s the same for the lighter dial on the 12? Legibility on my C63 is fantastic. I love how sometimes the hands and indices look black.AlphaLimaGolf wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 2:53 pm From what I could tell from CW's website images, the hands and indices on the white dial (and maybe the pale blue) are slightly darker than on the darker colour dials. And because it's a beautiful day outside, you get this when you head back in to a darker house.

Re: “The Twelve” is live
@AlphaLimaGolf Thanks for doing those measurements, that's brilliant, thank you.
Crystal
So the crystal is very similar in size to a Omega Moonwatch and a CW C3 Mk1.
Looking at other 39-41mm case watches in my collection, the crystal is smaller than a:
C65 Super Compressor (36.0mm)
C5 Revival SE (36.0mm)
C1 Moonglow (36.0mm)
C1 Morgan Aero 8 (36.0mm)
C9 Small Seconds (36.2mm)
Likewise, it is slightly larger than a:
C65 Dartmouth Mk1 (33.5mm)
C63 Sealander 39mm (33.5mm)
C65 Chronograph (33.3mm)
And a lot larger than these 40mm divers (to be expected due to their large bezels):
C60 Trident Bronze Blue Ombre (31.2mm)
C60 Trident Pro 300 (30.9mm)
Dial size
From a dial size perspective, which I think is the main determinant of how large a watch wears, let's include the minute track as it is the same colour as the dial, so appears to the eye to be part of it. Your 33mm measurement means that it is again very similar to a CW C3 Mk1.
Looking at 39-31mm case watches again, the dial is smaller than:
C9 Small Seconds (33.8mm)
C1 Morgan Aero 8 (34.4mm)
C5 Revival SE (34.6mm)
And larger than:
C63 Sealander 39mm (31.4mm)
C65 Dartmouth Mk1 (31.0mm)
C60 Trident Bronze Blue Ombre (30.3mm)
C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm (29.3mm)
C65 Super Compressor (27.0mm)
So, my tentative expectation is that (ignoring dive watches, which aren't really an apples vs apples comparison) the C12 will wear smaller than the C9SS and the C1-cased models, similar to the C3 Mk1, and larger than the C63 39mm.
The Ti version may wear a little smaller because it is 1mm slimmer and the fume dial and dark minute track may make the eye think the dial is just the bright coloured central part, i.e. smaller. But who knows?
I hope these stats help someone. They helped me!

Re: “The Twelve” is live
With the latest real world pics, this watch is really growing on me. Does anyone else think of it as a dressy watch? To me it reads dressy because of the flash factor. I mean that as a good thing. I’m looking forward to seeing this in 36mm.
