The mythical C8 MKII

Post by kiwiboy01 »

Hi all - not really griping just yet, but wondering if there's anyone else awaiting their MarkII? I am beginning to wonder just how long it can take to transit from Switzerland to the UK? I can't wait to receive the watch, and will try very hard to be patient, but you know how it can be...... Pete. [-o<

Pete,
The watches get shipped in batches to CWL in the UK, they are then QA'd before receipt into stock, as this QA can involve checking the timing of the watch it can take a few days before a watch makes it from 'delivered ' through to 'available for sale'

This usually picks up all 'blatant' problems, hopefully reducing the customers anxiety as they can trust that, 99% of the time, they should receive a watch in perfect condition.

You'll have to find something else to do while you wait!

I'm also waiting. I got a bit impatient. My solution was to buy another watch while I wait, so I got a C60GMT, which arrived today (not seen it yet). :) Not too sure this is a perfect solution, but it worked for me.

I'm told the C8 is very close..

Cheers Rob and Rich - I will continue to 'count the sleeps' until the arrival of my C8. Another week or two and it may be game over though I'm afraid... I would hate to have to walk away from CW though, as I dig the 'ethos'

At least with my Omega and Breitlings I knew where I was in the order process.

Thanks again, and I'll post pics when she arrives(he says with optimism) 8-[

I am confident it will arrive within the next two weeks. I spoke with Wera yesterday. They are waiting for the shipment from Switzerland - due any day now.

I'm also waiting for my delivery of a C8 mkll. Of all the watches to buy from cwl I buy the one everyone has had to wait for, what seems like an eternity. Fingers crossed they turn up soon. :)

Easy, order a non-mythical Mark 1...I spoke to Wera on Thursday afternoon last week, bought a C8 Mk 1SKT and it was delivered on Saturday morning. Sorted. And it's a very nice watch (I prefer it to the Mk2 anyway!)
C40, C8 (black/blue mk1), C6, C600, C9 FLE, C90 Becketts and C8 cream mk1 all sold!
Got Junghans, Omega, Tag, Tissot, Seiko, Magrette, Laco, Hamilton, Giuliano Mazzuoli, GShock, Welder...and Tag Connected and Garmin Fenix 3....

The MkII is showing as 'in stock' now, so that is encouraging. :)

Well got my C8 Mk2 today, cream face, tan strap...and a very fine watch it is. Had the day off today and have spent much of it watching the second hand smoothly move around the dial. If you have one on order do hang in there, it's worth waiting for. 8)
