Why bother?

Just get your money back, no watch is worth the continuing hassle and who will guarantee that the problem won't recur after the watch is repaired or the movement replaced.

As much as they might look good this is why I have never bought a SH21 watch.

Why not play along, send them the watch, and see what they say.

You know that you have recourse to request a full refund. That's your backstop.

Personally, I cannot see their point of view. Failed repair. Refund would be default, but as a customer, I have been kind enough offer them an alternative to rectify on my terms. I think the CS rep just failed to read and comprehend.

I have some very stressful stuff going on in my life currently, so it is not something I want to play along with :(

I've sent a further email explaining the issues, my complete lack of confidence in their ability to repair it and why. I've summarised what I am willing to accept. I've also CCd Mike France in, not because I want to get anyone in trouble, but because having met and conversed with him, I can see he is a decent guy who is passionate about his business. He needs to see how his customers are being treated.

It is looking 50/50 that my favourite watch is going for good :(

An early morning reply from Mike, a telephone call from Matt and all is sorted. CW have a movement in stock, they're happy to replace, given the circumstance. It could have been this easy from the start!

Ensuring the watch is issued with a fresh COSC certificate would also provide peace of mind. Good luck

That's what we've agreed and it seems entirely reasonable, provided they don't mess it up casing it.

Hopefully I won't jinx my own BMF but I've had mine a few months and it's a fantastic watch. The manual wind was a little stiff at first but it freed up after a few weeks. The watch runs perfectly and tends to be my go to for any activities outdoors or where It may get anywhere near strenuous. 😂. I have mine on the camel strap and it's a wear and forget scenario.
I hope your renewed model is all mine has been so far.

I'm hoping it's ok. I've got the camel strap, a tide strap, a bracelet and even got a Super compressor blue and orange rubber strap for it.!
