Evening all, for those ordering as a result of preview call, has anyone received an update from CW on delivery time frame?

I know I'm being impatient.....

Thanks

Look at that gold. I am so conflicted. One moment I`m all in for gold, the next moment I`m more into the silver. I wish someone could show them next to each other.
If only the gold had the same blue hands and beak my choice would've been so much easier.

And for those of you who understand Japanese here`s another video. Don`t understand a word but great shots of the watch in silver

I have the gold on order with matching leather strap but I do love the silver too, especially on the metal bracelet. I might be tempted to get one of those too so I can swap the bracelets between. I'll wait for the gold to show up first though to see how I like it, but I should probably just buy the bracelet rather than another watch haha.

HAHAHA buying the bracelet will probably be a smart choice economically for sure. Or you can get both, compare them, see which one you like best and return the one you're unsure about.

For those who have already ordered one of the classics: Which strap color did you choose?

My choice is the silver version and I think it's the only colour that looks good enough with the bracelet. So I will definitely get the bracelet when I place my order. However, I think I’ll need a strap as well to give the watch a completely different look.

I’m torn between a few options for the silver version. Black, blue, and dark brown all seem like solid choices. The black and dark blue are quite similar—so which one do you think works best? And what about brown? I don’t have a lot of brown shoes or belts to match it with, but I do like the color.

What straps did you guys choose for your classics?

Lastly, I wish CW would offer alligator straps to elevate the design even more. In general, I feel they could put more effort into the details, like creating better-looking bracelets and more luxurious straps for these watches.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

@HAYQ if I was ordering the silver I would go for the brown and that would be that.

One of the more learned forum members will know for sure but I think I recall reading (perhaps in the archive) that CW discontinued any exotic straps on ethical grounds.

What are the "rules" for matching a watch strap with the rest of your outfit?

If you’re wearing a belt and leather shoes, do the colors of these and the watch strap "have" to match?

It’s probably a silly question, and I imagine that in 2024, hardly anyone cares about these details anymore. Still, I’m curious to know
I do like the brown strap I just don`t have lot of brown leather items in my wardrobe

That’s a level of sartorial thinking well outside my brain power. :D

I suppose yes in theory match an outfit, but I would tend to worry about liking the watch/strap combination as the most important thing and then anything else is secondary. So in this case my simple personal taste is that the brown leather is the nicest strap for the silver Bel Canto Classic. This is based on internet pictures only, not having seen it in person, and I think the blue is a good option as well (I’d be tempted to order both).

I’ll have to ask Mrs TB about this fashion thing as when she buys a new watch, she ‘needs’ to buy a new handbag to complement it, and then a new outfit to go with the handbag…

Late Xmas present arrived 830am today.....it's really quite something.

The dial is reminiscent of pavonine iridescence. I much prefer itto the version one blue LE, which I previously owned.

I got the Oro on the tan leather strap. I really do like the silver on the silver bracelet though and I'm still tempted to get one if I like the classic enough. If the blue strap matched the hands I would have liked that.

Looks great. I love the blue but I've already got several blue watches so not sure I needed another. Did you order it on release day? I ordered mine on the 31st of Oct - which I think was release day - so I'm hoping it arrives soon.

@Timishere that's absolutely lovely and great shots. Congratulations. I keep saying it but I've decided on the silver until I see pictures of the blue and them I'm just back to umming and ahing again.

Hi, everyone. New poster here. Lovely piece; eager to see it in flesh. I just ordered the Argento (silver) after first thinking I wanted blue. A few things shifted me to the silver.... I might get tired of the blue guilloche's flashiness even though photos are amazing. Silver's handset is seemingly more legible and really matters to me a lot. Silver seems more versatile. The red beak and the white squiggly line to the right of it on the blue dial reminds me of Alain Silberstein watches which I really dislike and can't unsee -- and that was the biggest reason for me switching to silver. Thankfully, silver was a close number two when I was first looking and then came to a definite number one. Thank you and wishing you all well.

^^^^ @15peter20

Partially held, is when one of the items you ordered is not yet in stock; could be the watch head, could be the strap or bracelet, could be an additional item you ordered.
