Richard is right about the strap, the orange is rather delicate and wears off, especially on the keepers. Be careful with silicon, it is difficult to get one that does not look overly bright and "orange"
Well, sad to hear that.
I had high hopes for the build quality of CW also in this aspect, but it seems I am about to experience a disappointment
You are right about the silicon colors, indeed.
Maybe I'd better ask Wera for an alternative?
To be honest, It is not a unique to CW problem. Many of the brightly coloured straps seem to suffer from this. In fact all leather straps suffer to a certain degree, but it is just more noticeable on the bright colours as the contrast between the bright coating and dark is more noticeable.
If you are reasonably careful, the straps look fantastic and besides, it gives you an excuse to get into the addictive world of strap changing.
The silicons are a funny thing. More than any other material, you can only really tell what it is going to look like when it is in front of you, bht if you are reasonably prudent when purchasing, they should be fine. Indeed, sometimes the bright ones look amazing.
One thing to think about is that to buy the watch with the bracelet in the first place is normally the cheapest option. It is cheaper to buy a strap afterwards than a bracelet.
But if you have already bought the watch with the strap, then such is life, and be glad that that it allows you to enjoy the huge number of options now available to you through aftermarket strap suppliers.
