And I wonder what the buyer will think when the misaligned text makes its presence obvious...? Or of course they don't notice. Or they really were trying to acquire an investment classic :megaeek:

Isn’t it technically lying and a breach of rules to sell these sale watches as new on eBay?

Help me out here. I’m looking for any way to bury these people. lol

No denying that, but at least here, we can remain informed and buy better another day.

So as I alluded to up tread I joined the SC club (misaligned text support group) moments before they disappeared from the January sale. That was close. So it arrived yesterday and I am quite taken with it and as other have said it's sparkly in the daylight. I'm not overly impressed with the 1970's era plastic strap but I'll swap if out at some point for something a little more high end. A welcome addition to the stable.

Just joined the forum today. Another person who bought a black sand super compressor in the sale, and I'm loving it. I have fairly puny 6.5" wrists and thought I couldn't wear anything over 40mm, and I was initially put off from buying it by the size. But this 41mm really sits great I think.

A better measurement to look at is the lug to lug. The compressor cushion case has a really nice compact lug to lug of just over 47 mm. Comparing the lug to lug with the length of the flat part of your wrist will give you a good idea of how a watch will sit. I personally look at overall width and lug spacing to make sure that a watch is balanced. I think a watch that is 40mm but has 18mm lug width will look really unbalanced.

Great choice on the compressor!

Useful advice which although seems obvious when you think about it, it never clicked in my mind before. I had just associated the case diameter with wearability.

It also tells me that I don’t really want to exceed 47mm on lug-2-lug, whatever the case diameter.

That looks great and fits you just fine. Congrats on the pick up.

Do they still produce the black sand color on this watch? I only seem to be able to find the two blue versions of this reference. Really like this watch!

It’s really a good looking variant of the SC, but was selling very poorly. CW recently stopped manufacturing this variant and offloaded existing stock in the January sale, which is why we’re seeing so many of them now!
