Thanks! One thing the NN didn’t have was the red leather strap and I could probably get that with it if I got it used.
I'm hoping mine come with the complementary straps...
I could be wrong! I didn’t see it mentioned and mentally assumed it wasn’t included because i didn’t like the camel strap on it.

Haha, no, I went for the green, blue and yellow 36's. The green and blue were on bracelets, the yellow on a strap, hence me looking for a C63 bracelet now. I'd have liked the purple, but didn't see it.

I picked up a C63 GMT on a Tides strap. Are these comfortable?

Oh, the irony!!

I couldn’t get past the “continue to billing”. I’ve got an email saying I’ve left something in my basket, but it’s now sold out.

Another CW site glitch rears its head. Why don’t these sales go as expected!!

Well, that was quite pleasing. I just looked at this thread and then followed the link posted by footy crazy - thanks for that - and ordered myself a vintage oak leather strap for my vintage trident, which I bought new, back in 2015. I still remember having doubts about the quality of the original strap, but it just kept going and going until, last year I believe, when it finally reached it's end.

So I replaced it locally (Thailand) with a Bernard(?) strap, made in the UK, but available here, which seemed to fit the bill perfectly, but the quality is dire. I feel like it's going to split anytime soon. I have to say, that I have another Bernard strap for a different watch, which is very good. So anyway, spotting this strap in the sale is a real bonus. Total cost is £35! Very happy.

1. When is the sale. What will be on sale. What is the usual discount. When is the sale. When is the sale.......

2. I didn't get the email. Did you get the email? I didn't get the email. Are we supposed to get the email? I didn't get the email.......

3. Watches showed up a few minutes ago on the website, now they're gone. They're back. Now they're gone again. Not much in the sale, I'm out. I ordered five watches anyway and will return 4. The watches have disappeared again!

4. Waiting in anticipation for arrival. Crap missed my delivery. It finally arrived and has dust under the crystal. Mine has a winding problem does yours. Mine is scratched more than I thought it should be for nearly new. Returning the watch, I'll never buy another CW.

5. Excitedly waiting for the next sale!!!
This is brilliant and I have personally experienced all of these stages Image

I have been on the look out for a steel case C9 Regulator or a steel case C8 Power Reserve. There was a black case C8 power reserve on the list but while I wrestled with whether I could live with the black case or should I wait it sold. It was a good price compared to the others I have seen go through eBay, congrats to the lucky purchaser!

I wonder if it's the logo placement that makes the 600 Pro a slow seller? :-k

My guess is there are several watches for each 600 Pro sale listing unless it states "nearly new" as CW is clearing inventory. So, that might explain why the 600 Pros are not disappearing from the sale like some of the other one-off watch listings. Another explanation is many customers prefer the updated 300 models that weigh less & are slimmer on the wrist. Overall, it is amazing to see how the sale items were hovered up in the sale feeding frenzy!

There is often a top up of available stock when the Sale goes from the current 'Preview', to being 'Live' to the General Public (tomorrow afternoon in this case).

Yes I know inflation, supply chains etc but I'm pretty sure plenty of C60 & C65 autos pre covid were <£300.

Not knocking anyone who has bought something today, just not for me.
I think it reflects current watch pricing. Even Chinese watches are rather more expensive than they used to be. CW prices have moved northwards, and sale discounts are now 30-35% rather than the 40-50% they used to be.

I paid well under £400 for my first CW, a C65 manual wind. I can't remember the exact price, but that's the one that started it all.

I bought a Trident Pro 600 on bracelet 18 months ago in the sale for £537.

Now they are in the sale for +27% at £683.

Should help residuals a little.

I am done with CW sales. I enjoyed them for a year or two for the novelty factor and the thrill of chasing some bargains, but I have now moved on.

I still have four nice watches to show for it though.
