Hello CWE family,
A small, but (in my view) significant update regarding my “partnership” with CW about my Trash Running Man sustainability/community cleanup project:
Besides allowing me to use their logo on my shirts, hats, etc related to my project, they have now graciously provided some further support as far actual CW merchandise to be used while I’m out there collecting litter, and that support was in the form of a small discount toward a CW watch so that’s very much appreciated. Obviously, they don’t have to do anything at all, but they said that they wanted offer that to me as support for a valued fan of the brand doing a “very good thing”.
It’s not a sponsorship in the way that Team Brit, or others have full partnerships with CW, which is understandable given my small project all things considered, so the fact they’re doing this is really encouraging for me and I can’t thank them enough.
I hope that by spreading the word (#SpreadingtheWard) as Mike France once put it, maybe it’ll help in a small way to highlight all the good things the Christopher Ward brand is doing with Sustainability Projects, such as 2% for Good, and their work with the #Tide and Blue Marine Foundations, and even their Planet Positive initiative where the packaging materials, the box the watches are sent in and even the cleaning cloth are made from sustainable sources whenever possible.
So I’m very excited and the watch I chose is the 300 GMT Teal. Very Summery, and some ties with the sustainability with the Atoll style bezel and very colorful design. Hopefully it’ll arrive within the next few weeks.

NWA!! The Proto 300 GMT Teal is in and it’s GORGEOUS!
Total Summer vibes.
Even more special than that, it’s the pre-production protoype of this model. The one before serial 1
It’s the exact same as the full production model so it was the last version they made before the final design as approved. Easy to see why they said “let’s make it” when they saw this one. It is seriously beautiful.
From CW: “It turns out that the 300 GMT that’s on its way to you was the first design prototype! You’ll see this in that the serial number starts with an ‘S’.”
Let’s go get some trash! And maybe a trip in the pool, or to another time zone!
Big thanks to the CW team particularly Mike France as well as Patrick from the PR Team for helping me make this happen.

That's excellent, Jacob. That colour combination is brilliant and I doubt that you'll need to buy a C69 Trident Reef.
I believe CW generally produces three, at most, S** - 023 pre-production pieces for each model. I wonder if yours found fame by being used for CW's website photos?

Re: Sponsored by CW like a real athlete!! ;)
Guy, thanks for that info. Interesting about the “S” models. Who knows if they may have used this for the pictures.
In any case, I’m very happy with it and look forward to wearing it a lot this Summer.
