I’m on the side of the timing working out OK for anyone who has ordered a XIIX and wants now to change their mind and buy the LE. Would it not have been worse if the LE came out after a couple of week of wearing the XIIX titanium?
I do like the LE, but I’m not changing my order. I like the idea of my XIIX being titanium. I also like the black bridge work. If the LE had been the original launch, I’d have been very happy. But I like the one I’ve ordered. Added to that is the fact that I have a C60 Concept, which is of course a skeletal SH21 with blue. Even Mrs Clach understood that logic.

Re: Special Edition Preview USA
I also have a C60 Concept. That's partly why I was interested in another skeleton SH21. At the Ti 12X launch CW hinted at LEs/SEs in the future. We could have/did anticipate additional variants at some point. My personal take is that the SE should have been launched well into next year when the excitement of the Ti 12X had died down a bit. If I'd had my Ti 12X for six months then I doubt I'd have said much. No budget, no intent to buy, etc, etc, etc. I'm sure there would have been complaints but that's human nature and inevitable but the SE launch was, to me at least, far too soon.

Epic watch from CW
Exactly what I thought all along, reading prior comments.
CW were in a no win situation. Had they released the XIIX SE next month, they would have seen many returns of XIIX. If they released it in 6 months, some would complain it was too soon as they only had their XIIX for a few months.
This way, CW have been transparent and XIIX buyers have a free choice. To stick or twist
Personally, I didn't want the XIIX but the SE "fixed" everything that I had wanted from the model, so it was an insta-buy from me. I can't wait to receive mine
I had considered bespoking the XIIX, but when I knew the SE was coming and had addressed my personal issues with it, I decided there was then no need
A well executed (finishing, movement architecture and design) skeleton is one of my most favourite watch types, but the CW will only be the second such watch in my collection as I rarely like the execution of skeleton watches i.e. most are flawed.
