That's really bad news  I would definitely ask for some sort of good will gesture for the inconvenience of having to have a 3rd watch. A second strap or some sort of discount. It's a lovely watch and it should be right. The internal faults could be down to rushed production to meet demand in time for Christmas but even so. Feel bad for you :(

That would be nice, but that was not offered to me. What was offered, was 2-3 day shipping before Christmas which is not cheap. They should do that for me as a gift but I feel out of place asking since the shipping is what's important. They're also refunding me for the shipping back to them, of course.

My eyes are so poor that I cannot make out the lint which worries me even more!

CW need to be aware of these problems as they cannot afford to become complacent in areas of QC.

Maybe the 2014 FLE could be a Braille watch?

I wonder how many they send back to the factory because they failed the inspection :problem:

Deb said a new one would be sent to me today. I just asked her to not rush because of Christmas and make sure it is perfect. I'd rather get it after Christmas than go through this crap again. Of course they're doing what they can. I like this watch but am not doing this again. She said she will hold back a day and a Technician is looking at it now so it is 100%. Sounds good. :o

While the problem with the 1st watch could be put down as "one of those things" , the 2nd time around is pretty shoddy. I'd be 50:50 about a refund vs new watch. :problem:

Something needs to be fixed. I have no idea how CWL/the Swiss approach their inspection processes but it didn't work out for me...twice. This is my last attempt which is sad because I really really like this watch. I have a Quartz diver on my arm right now as nice as it is, it just doesn't feel the same. And then I keep looking at the Stowa Marine Original and that's not helping.

Hi Wolf really sorry to read about your issues with this watch, personally i would be asking for a refund yes once is a disappointment but twice is just not acceptable. i have just pre ordered a titainium elite and fully agree with staffy that it makes me feel nervous about quality control ye its a smart looking watch alright and i admire your determination in hanging out to get what you want but if its not right next time walk away from it.

Yep, this will be the last time. They shipped it out but through the Royal Mail. I told them to make sure it was right and don't overly rush it just so I'd get it for Christmas. They figured since I wouldn't get it in time anyway they shipped it normally, but I still would have liked it rushed back to me! I mean from a hair to a scratch it's been nearly two weeks I haven't had my Makaira to wear! Not pleased...they said someone made sure it was problem free so it better be! :censored:

Last time it took 5 days but normally it takes 10 to come here.

First time...crap happens

Second time.... Most certainly should not have happened

Third time......better be perfect or Chris is going to know!!! (In fact, I would let him/Wera know anyway. They will appreciate it.)

So I'm coming to this post rather late, and what I'm reading is rather disconcerting. Hope it works out for you this time!
