Something Big Is Coming?!?

Post by Hanlon505 »

Did anyone watch "Talking Hands (From Watchfinder), Andrew Morgan Watches" latest video on YouTube, The Watch Industry Is Broken (I Know The Fix)

Apparently, CW approached him with a new concept watch and he was blown away. His words were: "What they showed me was a slap in the face, I did not even read the rest of the email, I just need to see it in person. So I can take it apart, make sense of it, and basically find what the catch is."

He then went on to say he could not mention anything about it yet but you can put it along with MBNF.

WTF is going on and what can it be? Edge of seat stuff...

MB&F

I watched the video. He is incredibly irritating but what he has to say is quite interesting and in many ways rings true. as to the thing hinted at by Mike France, we shall have to wait and see. It may refer to something beyond the next release, but as yet we on the Admin Team are not party to any details.

The clip played havoc with my eyes, but an interesting take. I do have a good idea of what was alluded too and it explains CW’s excitement.

It’s fun to contemplate what CW is cooking up behind the yellow door. I’ve enjoyed the Watchfinder vids and only very recently discovered the AMW channel. I’m going to have to set a few more pennies aside it seems.

I'm definitely intrigued. I'm personally looking forward to their aquataine inspired field watch. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my new trident 300 diver so much that I've basically neglected the rest of my watches. Keep the hits coming!

Can’t see CW making a watch like theirs, it wouldn’t fit in with the style of watches that CW make

Just saw this clip myself and came to see what the forum knew…

Could it be a minute repeater? I saw this interview a few months ago where Mike France mentions a big upcoming release at the end of October where he says “audio is the only clue I’ll give you”. I thought alarm watch at the time, but Andrew’s big reaction makes me wonder if it’s something bigger…

Check it out at 16:40 onwards:

You’re right and I hope it’s not a collaboration. The H Moser x MBF pieces are amazing and there is no way CW are anywhere near that. If it’s a min repeater I wonder what movement will be used?

I have watched and listened to all of it.

I certainly agree with his views on the industry and how the typical watch buyer has changed, in particular over the past 4 years or so.

As to the forthcoming CW he didn’t say it was like an MB&F! I have always found that listening to what someone actually says, rather than what you think they said, or want to believe they said is important. :)

He wasn’t referring to the look of the watch. He was making an observation about quality by reference to price point…
