Plenty of new models have been announced, many based on the SH21movement. Non of these are likely to be cheap enough to appeal to the fashion brand buyers. I, like many of you, liked the British angle to CWL. Perhaps Bremont have now cornered that market for Britishness. They certainly play very much on nostalgia, Spitfires and the like. Interesting parallels with CWL who also are (were) into nostalgia both aviation and motoring. I don't think there is much clarity yet on what the re-branding will really mean. I'm pretty certain that it won't become a fashion brand. Some fashion brands make expensive watches, Armani, Louis Vuiton etc but they are already established luxury fashion brands. Seems that the British angle is important to Forum members. Have CWL really done some market research and are sure that there is an untapped market for "not cheap" watches out there. I'm willing to suspend judgement and wait to see if I like the watches but image does seem to very important in the high end watch business.

If Britishness is what you are after you can pick up Bremonts second hand from £2k which isn't a world away from some CW models.

Are people still doing that? Time to up it to fifty posts, that'd get a few threads going...

^^^ Good spot on the similarity to the mockup Trident.

It's putting it a bit strong to call the Offshore Professional a brand though.
It's the only watch Lorne (who posts here every so often) has made, and he isn't currently working on another one.

Not so much a micro brand as a pico brand then ;)

FYI CW posted on facebook about a glowing review for the C65 vintage (from Luxury lifestyle here) and still getting adverse comments about the name/logo.

The facebook link click here. Good job people have emailed the company directly to tell them how good it is.

Likely the same people commenting over and over, at least that's what I've seen ...

Why did you skip going through nano between micro & pico? :)

The logo actually looks really good on the Vintage and makes the dial very balanced. And like the last logo, it's surely more subtle in person. Between that review and Josh's, both said they like the logo which makes me believe it's fine. I'd surely believe them before I would any picture on the internet. My guess is this whole logo thing will simmer down in time and somehow be accepted by most. I means it works for me I guess but I just mainly care about the watches themselves.

That C65 Vintage is really growing on me. I'm even wondering if I should get that it instead of the C60. Of course I want the crown stamped so I will wait for that.

It seems everyone who sees it in the flesh likes it.
However, a product that looks crap in pictures and much better in reality is not ideal for an internet only business...
