That does clear things up for me, thanks.nbg wrote:When I saw the OPs initial post on this thread with links to "sale" items I went to the CW site and clicked on "half price spring event" - the watches shown by the OP were not showing. I clicked on the "clearance" - the items were not showing.
As far as I was concerned, the answer was quite simple - if they were not visible by the above means they were not in the sale.
Just sayin.

So:
1. the links OP supplied show watches that are not in fact displayed in the official Half Price page.
2. they would have needed to be unearthed by a user's own active manual intervention, by doing some form of 'hopeful" additional text search to trawl CW's site.
That shows weakness in the website, but not that CW actually offered these items for sale nor issued an invitation to treat in respect of them.
There are always people who like to try to find hidden webpages. I remember when someone unearthed a CW page for a bespoke watch order. It was interesting to view a new design for an existing model, but I can't imagine that if someone outside of the group who commissioned those watches actually tried to place an order for them and CW said no, that anyone would complain.
I also remember someone unearthing pages showing some new model that had not been officially announced yet. Again, it gave us members an early peek at a new model, which was fun, but those pages had not been made public yet. If some test price was listed but the final price was higher, you can't hold CW to the earlier price.
