Should CW develop eco-friendly packaging?

No, If it's not broke don't fix it.

I develop and buy packaging for a living. The amount of energy and materials that go into a CW box are tiny compared with the energy and materials that go into the watch itself. So the flippant answer would be that the best thing you could do for the planet is only have one watch. However since that is not an option for many of us I would suggest focusing on other luxury goods first: Posh boxes of chocolates, fuel inefficient SUV's etc etc.
I keep all my CW boxes and given the number of CW's that have second homes, I think its nice to have a "proper box" to sell it in if ever that happens. I would welcome however watch rolls or a choice of slim case.

CW should buy one of the new style Magrette leather zip cases (genuine, quality leather) and investigate the possibility of using one very much like it. They are by far the best example of their kind I have seen, made of quality materials and are of a very useful design. They provide for secure shipping and unlike most boxes can be of use after the watch is received...
Other than as building support :)

Recyclable or disposable - no way, not for me.... I like my watches to come in quality packaging...

The leather case is a good option - practical, but smaller, lighter, and still classy enough for most of us. CW should at least consider it as an option.

This with bells on  :D

The new Magrette leather case is beautiful - it has that sense of occasion, but is also functional and less likely to be put away until such time as a watch is flipped/otherwise stored.

The Magrette wallet doubles as a useful travel pouch. Gets my vote.

It would be ideal to have a travelling case similar to the one that Brietling have, this is quite small with a zip and does protect the watch as it is well padded, I have used mine many times for trips to Australia etc, it could be used by C W to send the watch and used to protect the watch when travelling, it could also be used to return the watch if required to be returned for servicing etc, As it is quite small and light It would possibly be cheaper on the postage as well.

That is still not a solution for owners of multiple CWs. I would have eighteen leather cases to store. Such a waste!!

Eco friendly is always a good idea. However, I would hope they can make box more useful.

Dornbluth's clock display type or Bremont's nice leather carrying case style would be lovely.

I couldn't keep building the garage if CW switched to travel cases. :(

Surely there must be enough interest to have a specialist slimline case, produced by a 3rd party and advertised & sold through CW?
