Nice coffee table filler with beautiful photos but too much fluff about what seem to be some sort of CW ambassadors and unrelated artsy things.
Not keepers to me anyway. Quick browse-through and then with the recycling paper.

Re: Seven Years of “Loupe”: your thoughts, please?
1. Do you receive a hard copy of Loupe?
- Yep- always nice to see it arrive in the post
2. Do you prefer a hard copy or are you content to read the online version?
- I've never really found reading things easy on the PC. A hardcopy is always better for me.
3. Which types of article or content do you enjoy most, and why?
- Details about designs and commentry on horological history. Articles about watchmaking are always horribly dumbed down. The columns by Ken Kessler are always a good read.
4. Which types of article or content do you enjoy less, and why?
- I have zero interest in fashion, arts, sport and always skip straight over those.
5. Are there any articles you would class as “outstanding”? The “Snippets” section of the Archive might jog your memory on the horological topics.
6. Going forward, is there any type of content you would like more of?[/color][/i][/b]
- Detailed artciles about the engineering and design of watches. We've never seen an artcile detailing how CW cases are manufactured for example, or handsets. I'd find that sort of science/engineering detail very interested... but don't dumb it down!

Just bumping this to see if there are any more takers. I’m just back from holiday so will try to collate all the responses over the weekend and feed back to you next week.

Re: Seven Years of “Loupe”: your thoughts, please?
Late to the party but here's my take.
1. Do you receive a hard copy of Loupe?
No.
2. Do you prefer a hard copy or are you content to read the online version?
Online is just fine.
3. Which types of article or content do you enjoy most, and why?
The watch stuff by miles.
4. Which types of article or content do you enjoy less, and why?
Have very little interest in the lifestyle stuff, it often feels like filler.
5. Are there any articles you would class as “outstanding”? The “Snippets” section of the Archive might jog your memory on the horological topics.
I'm afraid to say no, not in the time I've been checking in.
6. Going forward, is there any type of content you would like more of?
There could be so many more regular features that are watch or brand related. More features on CW manufacturing. Perhaps interviews with prominent staff, even watchmakers. Maybe each episode could do a small feature on someone from within the organisation and what CW they choose to wear, along with any back story. Perhaps there could be the odd competition for watches, discount coupons or straps etc. In short too much of the mag is given over to what feels like filler. With tiny bit of thought it could be greatly improved imo.

Re: Seven Years of “Loupe”: your thoughts, please?
Loupe, for me, is to learn about CW the firm, and CW watches. I like the hard copy and I keep a few back issues. I don’t always read it when it is current; I may sometimes be an issue behind, or may read two in quick succession. I prefer the watch and horology focus. Getting a sense of the people behind the CW brand would be good to feature. We see something of Mike France. I’d like a feature on the designers, what inspires them, how do they go about refining ideas, and the like. What’s coming in the design space? Where is CW going, how about where they see the watch industry going? Who else is there at CW? Seeing something on the watch makers, the QC, fulfillment, CS would be nice, too.
I also peruse the Archive. Features on older models and designs, insights into their successes or failures would appeal to me. There’s always a bit of a stir over prototypes and LEs. A story on the bespoke team and process would also interest me. How does a prototype pass through the decision making process to get greenlit or canned? How might bespoke designs influence production models? With the firm being in business for nearly 20 years, how will they mark the occasion and their history?
I appreciate Loupe but I’d like a focus on CW and watches without the fluff. But sometimes the “fluff” is interesting, too.

1. Do you receive a hard copy of Loupe?
Yes
2. Do you prefer a hard copy or are you content to read the online version?
I don't really prefer one over the other. The paper copy is nice when I get it but I keep the digital copies to refer back to at a later time.
3. Which types of article or content do you enjoy most, and why?
First read sections for me are the Drawing board and Ken Kessler's column. I like the CW features on current and past releases. I also like the occasional feature on what CW is doing in the wider world.
4. Which types of article or content do you enjoy less, and why?
This would have to be the lifestyle stuff. Some of it I do enjoy and other stuff I don't. It is hit or miss.
5. Are there any articles you would class as “outstanding”? The “Snippets” section of the Archive might jog your memory on the horological topics.
The Drawing board always seems to get the discussion going on what is coming so I would say they are hitting the right chord there.
6. Going forward, is there any type of content you would like more of?
More articles on the inner workings and some of the people behind the watches would be cool. More articles on what the Alliance is up to. Some articles about the partnership with the MOD would be interesting to me.

Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well.
