Re: Sellita SW200 vs ETA 2824
I do believe that this is the true reasoning behind which movement goes where and when CW has the option.downer wrote:My theory: The Sellita is more easily available. They both work equally well and are equally reliable. The C8 has a partial (ok very small) display back and the 2824 is slightly more of a looker than the Sellita. So, put the easily available Sellita in watches where it cannot be seen and use the rarer 2824 when it is on show.diver69 wrote:.....do not understand why CW chooses to use the Sellita in it's C600 yet the ETA in the C8 Mk2??
Cheers!
Could be total baloney, but it kind of makes sense to me.

Re: Sellita SW200 vs ETA 2824
it is the sellita sw200 1 version in the c600 which is a better movement as there was earlier probs with hand winding and the power reserve when worn on the original sw200 i am proud owner of c600 with the newer sw200 1 version and so far it keeps excellent time and power doesnt go down wen left overnight which is good enough for me thanks cw :

I think that availability at price has been a problem for some time now. Certainly sales have dropped for other companies which might have freed up some production for CWL to make use of.
