Hi
Does anyone know witch variation of the Sellita SW200-1 is used by CW?
Sellita offers:
4 different grades:
- Standard – adjusted in two positions; accuracy of +/-12 sec/day up to +/- 30 sec/day
- Special (Elabore) – adjusted in three positions; accuracy of +/-7 sec/day up to +/- 20 sec/day
- Premium (Top) – adjusted in five positions; accuracy of +/-4 sec/day up to +/- 15 sec/day
- Chronometer – COSC criteria (learn more)
3 different finishes:
- Standard,
- Refined
- Tailor Made
The Used Grades should be
- Chronomoter for COSC Watches
- Special (Elabore)? for all others... --> is this correct? or does CW modify these anyway..?
I asume CW uses Standart finish for all Watches as they do the finishing in house... correct?

As a general rule they use Elaboré. I am not certain on the finish. Maybe someone more in know will chime in on that one.

Unless specifically stated COSC they use Élaboré grade, hence the +/-20 s/d spec. Finish is proprietary “Colimaçonné” + rotor engraved with Swish (twin flag) logo.

Is the finish made by sellita themselves?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 5:07 pm Unless specifically stated COSC they use Élaboré grade, hence the +/-20 s/d spec. Finish is proprietary “Colimaçonné” + rotor engraved with Swish (twin flag) logo.

I believe Sellita applies the custom (or Tailor Made) finish to the movements and rotor to CW specification.Has wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 6:23 pmIs the finish made by sellita themselves?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 5:07 pm Unless specifically stated COSC they use Élaboré grade, hence the +/-20 s/d spec. You can clearly see the different balance wheel use by cosc and non cosc CW watches…Has wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:02 pm Interesting video about the grade of eta and sellita movements

You can also see that they use the same shock absorber (Incanlock) in both models.
So the shock absorber is NOT a part to spot the difference as the source from the initial post is telling.

Re: Sellita SW200-1 Variation?
That is correct. CW has all of their movements upgraded to Incabloc. Also note that the GMTs use the SW330. That essentially starts at Elaboré and all versions have Incabloc.Has wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 11:54 amYou can clearly see the different balance wheel use by cosc and non cosc CW watches…Has wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:02 pm Interesting video about the grade of eta and sellita movements

That is great. I guess, the tolerances are also the same for Cosc and non Cosc movments...That is correct. CW has all of their movements upgraded to Incabloc. Also note that the GMTs use the SW330. That essentially starts at Elaboré and all versions have Incabloc.
The difference is about 3 parts... Mainspring, balance wheel and hairspring...
